Got a call from this number 866-402-3650. It just says "toll free call" and they don't leave a message.

Blocked my caller ID and called the number back. Said it was from "Cardon Healthcare Network".  I guess they're trying to sell health insurance.

Cardon is a group of people that try to help the uninsured that have gone into ER's and other health care services i'm assuming.  I haven't dealt with them in person or anything yet but they keep telling me that they want to help me figure out a way to get my bills covered.  I looked them up online and their site says they are there to help figure out ways to get your bills covered whether it be by setting up payment arrangements or looking into state run programs etc.

Called me 4 times in 4 days.  Claimed to be a charity helping terminally ill children get their medical bills paid.  Just because its on the internet doesn't make it true or legimate.  If anyone ask you for charity, ask for the non-profit ID number, then verify the status with your state's attorney general's office.  

BTW...the other caller said they were a hospital collection agency.

Hi there, well I actually used to work for cardon and they are employed by the hospitals to screen patients that have hospital bills. By screening the patient they can determine if you qualify for medicaid, charity, county or disability prgms. They then apply you for that prgm and if you are approved the hospital therefore gets paid. It's not a scam they are paid by the hospitals to provide that service to its patients. Just thought I'd let you know its a legit company.

you cannot block your caller id when calling toll free numbers.

Cardon solicited my father-in-law who was diagnosed with lung cancer...to "help him file for disability" but the contract that they sent said that they would get paid like $6000...if the hospital employs them then why are they making patients sign contracts that guarantee themselves payment????

This is true. Actually, I am an employee of Cardon and that is exactly what we do. We help patients with thier bills and and do billing for the insurance comanies that bill for the Hospitals in-state and out of state. I actually get phone calls from this number as well because I have a balance due. So, dont be afraid to pick up the phone. We are here to help.

I actually heard the same from a friend of mine. Cardon told her they would help her with her disability and would only charge her 25% if she was approved.

Some fool has been calling me , i am in Europe , this is a joke company . Why would i need your service - cause its a scam . Think about it . Doh !

I have hospital bills I am working with the hospital on.  Why have this co call?  Return call & put on hold for 20 minutes.  BS!

Besides helping patient obtain state/local/charity coverage to pay for their bills, they have a department that assists clients apply for Federal SSDI/SSI benefits. Just like disability advocates and disability attorneys, if your claim is approved, they obtain a percentage of the back paid benefits as payment for their services. This service is separate than services the hospitals pay for.

Is there a reason you're replying to an 8-year old post? Do you really think wesley is going to return to see your comments? And why did you even look this number up if you already know to whom it belongs?

I don’t answer calls from unknown numbers.  This one left a voicemail.  Didn't identify the company but had my husband's name.  Wants to determine if he or anyone in the household qualifies for assistance.  While my husband recently had surgery, all the bills are paid and we owe nothing.  Don't know where this is coming from, but I won't be calling back.
