They want the name of my bank and my acct. #

Caller gave me this number as a call back number.

A man by the name of George Smith called. He said he was from the fruad reecovery dept, telegard service with Star Communications. Suposeidy located @ 242 Rt 11 NY NY 18426. He said 423.00 had been taken from my bank account 6 to 2 years ago and needed by bank information in order to put it back.

This ERIC KOSKI called me and asked if I had any money stolen from my bank account, which upset me, because I have fallen for SCAMS before, and I have lost over a thousand dollars in 2002.  This is the second time that person called me, with a heavy Indian accent, and under the name of ERIC KOSKI.  His business name sounds like 'telegraph' something, I had to tell him to slow down.  He said that they were trying to return the money.  I called the bank, and told them my story, and they said do not give out any info, and if they would mail a money order or cashiers check for the exact amount to the address that they already had, then fine, but do not get under my skin!!!

1/8/08 - 7:53 pm - Someone called 3 times this evening asking for my husband and stating that they were from the fraud recovery department of Card Recovery Services of NYC.  Two of the calls I took and I told them that I was his wife and they proceeded to tell me that they wanted to refund $450 that was fraudulently taken from our bank account by Star Communications 16-18 months ago.  

The man had a heavy accent (Indian, maybe?).  When I couldn't understand him very well, he gave me to his "supervisor" who told me his name was Neil Johnson.  When I asked for a phone number he gave me 1-866-402-3926.  When I called this number from another phone while I had them on the line, the phone just rang and rang--no one answered!  

They asked me for my bank name so they could refund my money.  I told them I don't give that info. out over the phone.  They told me what they had for my mailing address which was correct.  I told them that they could just mail me the check.  They said they couldn't--that it had come out of my bank and would have to go back into it. The number on my caller ID was 617-224-0808.  

My husband took one of the calls and was told the caller's name was Alfred.  Again couldn't understand him so was transferred to his supervisor, "Alex Murphy".  Said he was from Tele Guard Services and gave a phone number of 866-442-3926.

Tonight (Saturday night) I got a call from a Franklin Bremer (who has the thickest Indian or Pakistani accent I've ever heard) who said he was from TeleGuard in New York City and they had recovered $335 that had been stolen from my bank account.  He gave this number (866) 402-3926, as I was insistant that I call him back.  When I didn't call him back he called again and this time put his boss on the phone.  They didn't know my bank or my account number, because they asked for it.  Gotta be a scam.

I just got off the phone with a foreiner asking to verify my bank info so they can refund $395 back into my account that was taken out.  I never remember any monies taken out.  I live paycheck to paycheck I would sure know if I was missing this money.  I did not give him anything.

Definitely a scam, for they are using the name of a company in NYC who sells video security monitoring systems for businesses and government:

Sooo... why would a company like this want your banking account information???

Houston, we HAVE a problem!

A man with thick Indian accent called from 'New York City Recovery Department' to say my bank had taken $395 from my account over last 3 years.  He has my correct address and he wants my bank account number in return for a 'protection ID' number.  Obviously, I thought this was a scam and didn't cooperate.  I called my bank to let them know and they agreed it was a scam.

BEWARE!

These same people called but from the  numer here in Arizona 602-903-5827 using teleguards name and stating they had money from my Time share company and I need to give them my bank account number so they can put my money back into my bank account, I did not give it to them. They have called about four times, same thing over and over.

Just received the same call, same call-back number, guy with the same accent, same story, same request for bank information, etc . . .
