This is a scammer pretending to Bell MTS Canada telling me they're offering me a free upgrade to my modem. I know that there isn't any upgrades to internet in my area. How the scam works is that they ask for personal information to "verify" you, while they're on the phone with a Bell employee trying to order a high end cellphone in your name. Instead of receiving an upgraded router in your mail you receive an expensive cellphone you didn't ask for. Then their contact will appologize and ask you to send it back to a PO Box to the scammer, leaving you on the hook for the phone

Hard to know if it's legitimate or not, tried to sell me a mobile plan with Bell MTS to accompany my  Internet service.  The prices seemed like what you would get in a regular promotion, so alarm bells weren't ringing.  Luckily, I'm happy with my current cell provider, so I didn't have to risk being scammed.  I couldn't find an association between this phone number and Bell MTS, but it could be a reseller of Bell MTS mobile plans?  I just don't know.

Scammer Bell MTS does not use 866 extension for telemarketing and do not source 3rd party to market. Don't answer, block number. Call is used for phishing.  What appears on display screen is fake.
