got an automated call from this number.  Said it was an "alert notification for ________....we have legal documentation that is being issued out to ________ county home premises for _______".... and gave a phone number and case number for us to call.  Called that number and was told that they were Abner Dudley and Associates and sent us to the person supposedly handling the case.  The guy started off on the wrong foot by being fairly aggressive and then I asked in return who I was talking to.  He gave me the name "Eric Colson" and then, after telling me that being aggressive wouldn't help (I used no abusive language only was insistent that I knew who I was talking to and what the company name was) he put me on hold never coming back on the line.  I called back several times and never got an answer.

Someone named Mary called and left a voicemail message looking for my cousin claiming they were calling in reference to a legal matter in St. Charles, MO.  When I texted my cousin with the information, she said it was probably a scam but it was weird that they called me looking for her.

I just received a similar message about a civil matter.  I believe it's a scam.  There was no caller ID.

Someone called my sister in law with a case number.  They said they were sueing my husband.  I called the number. 1st red flag, they answered the phone with a generic "legal services". I had to ask who their company was.  Abner and Associates.  He couldnt tell me any info, only that they were suing my husband.  I asked who?  He said "we are" lmao!  Had my husband call to give consent to speak to me.  I called back, was put on hold for a long time.  I called back 10 minutes after i hung up and got transferred to brian lawson again.  He said it was from GE Money Bank from 2006-2009 and simething else about june 2010.  10 years ago!!!  I have never heard of anything he was talking about.  A line of credit for $896.  Dont fall for it!!  He said when i get the paperwork, i can dispute.  Betcha i will not get paperwork.

Same MOS.  Was called on my cell from a private number, answered since I have a friend in the hospital.  "Mary" claimed she was the notification officer for a county in TX and after being unable to reach my brother  for documents he needed to sign at two different numbers they called me as a listed contact to pass on a message to call 866-414-0282 and refer to a case file reg a civil complaint case #etc etc and it was of some urgency.  I contacted my brother whi pointed out he's had the same phone number for 5 years and.he's had this scam happen before; also that I am not listed as a contact anywhere and that all his info is public record.  He has recently had his identity stolen.  I looked up the 866 number they provided and wouldn't you know...should have figured it out when the call came from a "private" number.
