- John DonThey act like they are ebay auto.
- Caller: scam. acting as ebay
- Michael SingleyThis number, 866-415-4129 was embedded in an EBay invoice associated with correspondence related to a Craigslist ad for a Kuboda tractor. The seller of the tractor identified herself as Nancy Brown, a Ssgt in the Air Force. The EBay invoice instructed to purchase multiple Moneygram Xpress packs. The invoice stated that the purchase could ONLY be made with these packs. The EBay website does not show any such payment mechanism. This number was shown as a contact number to contact for further ordering and payment information. To be clear, no one called me from this number but it is shown in an (apparent) Fraudulent EBay invoice.
- Dale QuakenbushSame thing here. I went through the entire scam until I got the invoice. It even has a name and address to send the Money Gram to. I contacted the police in the city of the address and the names do not match. I am sure these are foreign people with a rather large operation going and if their country won't turn them over, then there is nothing the U.S. can do. They could trace this phone number to its termination point and have them red handed, but it will probably never happen. Only deal local or in person (be careful in person) or you will get caught in one of these scams eventually.
- Jarrod HeinzYea this is definitely a eBay scam tried to get me for a Honda Accord!Pay thru money gram its total bullshyt
- Amanda T.I got the same message expect they're going by the name Donna Crowder. Said I had to put money on 5 reloadit packs
- Caller: ebay
- Almost scammed here as wellGot the same number on an invoice for a Toyota Prius from a Sggt Nancy Brown. The email they used was mynancy63@outlook.com and they claimed to be from Omaha, Nebraska and were transferring and had to sell the car fast. The "ebay buyer protection" program they were saying they were selling through doesn't exist, and they wouldn't answer when called and rarely responded to texts, and if they did, it seemed confused. They also dodged sending the vin and wanted me to pay before checking the vehicle. They also used the number (805) 900-7884 to contact us. Beware scammers who pray on unsuspecting buyers!
- Caller: fraudulent number pretending to be ebay
