Was looking up some info online on Power saws when this annoying message popped up saying i had a virus and HAD TO call this number (1-866-417-3881) to get the virus removed.

Was looking up info on Web site when a window popped up saying my fire wall was infected and I had to call Windows 866 417 3881. I called and they said they were a tech comany hired by windows and wanted to get into my computer. I asked to verify the company but the Web address's he gave me either were in Chinese or could not display them.  SCAM  I hung up.

This is a scam.  Just reboot your computer if needed to get rid of the message.  Microsoft does not tell you about a virus in this manner.  Don't let anyone you don't know take control of your computer.

I was looking up owner's manuals for my car when this message popped up and told me to call, I called, but I'm using my mothers laptop. The gentleman wanted to speak to the owner of the computer, but when I told him she wasn't home he told me to have her call, but leave the computer running. It was an odd phone call, so I immediately scanned my computer using my security programs and my computer was clean. It's a scam. Phone number: 1 (866) 417-3881
