I received several calls from 1-678-564-3960.  My caller ID listed it as "caller unknown".  Returned the call but the operator said that it was a discontinued number.  I finally did answer and the person tried to convince me to give him my Credit card number and he could lower my interest rate or maybe even get the balance reduced. They claim to be federally funded but cannot tell you which agency is funding them. The person that I talked to identified himself as Williams White and company as Financial Services he could be reached on 1-866-417-9943.  This is a scam. They will take your money.

I myself have received phone calls from (866)417-9943 Financial Services. I feel the same way about places like this calling you telling you that they can lower your interest rate. The only correct way of lowering your credit is to call each card you have and work something out with the creditors you borrowed from. I agree that places like Financial Services are here to rip people off. Buisnesses like this should be put down before they start kicking more people while they are down!!!!

I received a call from this financial service which wanted my account number for my credit card and when I declined the caller became very upset and began to ask several questions but would not answer as to why he needed my account information.  I recevied a call from the same number and was given a ps# of 1-866-417-9943

I finally answered the phone today from this caller.  He was Byron Moore at 866-417-9943.  Claimed he could reduce my interest rates.  Wanted my credit card info to check if I was in good standing with my bank.  When I refused, he told me the laws, that I was protected from fraud by my bank, etc.  I refused to talk to him further and requested that they not call me again.

Received phone calls from 866-417-9943 on a fairly new land line that I have never shared with any credit agencies.  It was a red flag the first time, and I hung up.  Happened to be feeling sleepy on the repeat call and spoke with a woman who gave me her employee ID# - Kendra, #2207.  She told me to get a pen and paper to write down her info, so I did.  I talked with her a bit, asked enough questions to get the "General Manager" Derrick Smith to come on the line and take over.  Kendra called him Senior Account Manager, but whatever.  He sounded official and friendly and reiterated some general data re: 2 visa cards.  He asked me to verify the info, and I told him it was actually outdated because I had cleared the debt, but I didn't have the card on me.  Thank goodness!!  However, I happened to have just opened a statement from a different account so I gave them that account number (stupidly) and the available balance which was low, and he sounded disappointed and said it was close to the limit so he needed my other card info so that I could "qualify".  I got a bit paranoid and said I had to go to an appointment.  Derrick said I don't have to tell him what I'm doing, he was jovial about it, and asked when can they call me back.  Tomorrow I said.  So then I got online and found this!  I tried the number they gave me and got the chimes and "I'm sorry, your call cannot be completed as dialed."  I called the cc company and told them the story and they suggested I get a new card # so I did.  YIKES!!
The people sound very official and friendly, and when I asked if it was a government program the GM said that this time he couldn't put it on Obama, but didn't elaborate any more about what kind of company it is.  He emphasized that they talk directly to the "Retention Department" to negotiate interest rates and that as consumers we only get to talk to the customer service people and don't get anywhere doing that.  He also said that I would only ever pay Chase and Citi, not him or his company.  His speech was pretty convincing.  Funny thing, when I called my ccc to check on my account I asked about reducing the interest rate and the customer svc. rep. took 30 seconds, came back on the line and had dropped it to 7.24%.  AMAZING!!
