Called my store location sating that they were a third party processor for my current processing company. They went by the name of DPP. They stated it was an urgent matter and that we needed to call back ASAP regarding several transactions.  I called my processor and they did not recognize. Seems like a scam.

Received a message on my vpice mail stating that they want to ask me a couple of questions about my merchant account. Asked me to call Brittany at 866 420-9069, ext 3863. Obviously a suspicious call.

You got it all wrong!!  (Just kidding...) I'm supposed to call Janie at that same extension!  I tried calling back and get voice mailboxes at every option

Just got a call fr. Jack @ x3859 of same 866 #: said after all the years of processing c/c transactions thru a "3rd party merchant services retailer", DPP, who are "direct partners w/ First Data Corp." would consider accepting my business for direct transfers to the bank, thereby bypassing the "3rd party retailer" and eliminating their fees. He reviewed some basic info about my business and set up a "meeting" w/ "Sr. Risk Analyst Andrea Gianfrancesco" to come by to look at the "last 2 months' merchant statements" to confirm that we don't have excessive errors or chargebacks and that we qualify for this change. I called First Data Corp. in CO and they've never heard of DPP...waiting for a call back from their corp. security division. Sounds v. much like a scam to me to get a look at my bank account info!

Got a call asking for _________ (owner). I am the office manager. I told the lady the owner was not available. She started to say she would call back. When I asked what this was in regards to she said it was about our merchant account. I asked who she was with. She said DPP. I told her I could help her with that. She asked what my name was and I told her only my first name. She wanted my last name, and I wouldn't give it to her. I asked her what this was about and she said they were doing a review on our merchant account for fraud. I told her I had not heard of their company and that was NOT who we do business with. She said they were a lot higher than our merchant vendor. We argued for a minute and she said she would call back and speak to the owner. NO WAY! About to call my merchant vendor and have them shut these guys down.

As I did further investigation, found that they are a 3rd tier credit card processor. On one of their voice mails it says to call 800-228-0210 for support. This is one of the millions of people re-selling credit card processing!

Got the same type of call today to review my merchant account. Insisted they could save me money moving our credit card processing up a tier above the banks. Wanted to set up an appointment with a Senior Risk Analyst for which I refused. Not interested. I only wish I googled the phone number before I spoke with "Annette" @ 866-420-9069 ext 3864

Same deal as everyone else.  Sounds like a scam.  Why can't they give you a website??  Don't be stupid.  I'm not giving you any bank if you can't allow me to verify credentials.

My customer just got a call from them.  It's funny they talk about "cutting out the middleman".  This is suggestive that they are don't make as much money and they are somewhat direct with the networks.  Let's put it this way, I charge $1.50 per thousand dollars of processing volume.  Pretty simple.

They called today at my house said that they wanted to go over my merchant account. I'm glad I found this place... scammers!!! I've been scammed by a Credit card merchant like these before: lease finance group and certified merchant services. Merchants BEWARE! How come the Feds let them get away with this.

This is merchant services providers taking the shotgun approach to build up their portfolio of accounts.  My customer called me to report this because they thought it was my company calling.  I'd love to help anyone out on this board who has been burned by either paying a lease for a terminal or simply paying high fees.  I am college educated, spent 8 years as an environmental consultant and even owned my own food service business.  So, clearly I am not the classic "used car salesman".  I educate and help, not sell.

Got a call from Jaime from DPP.  Told us our credit card company was a reseller, and they could save us money. I am glad I looked up this number 866-420-9069.  They are sending someone over at 11am Wednesday morning.  Should I have a police officer here waiting for them?

THey called me saying I applied for a job through  craigslist. BUt there company name was unclear but sounded like STA? I have no idea. It must be a scam.

they seem fine to me so far Got the same call and had our meeting.. whatever they did the service is much cheaper now for us.. for what its worth. i dont think this 866 number is their main line.. so who knows.

866-420-9069 ext 3854  and the guy name was aaron or erin . something like that...  anyways...  they were looking for my sister to talk about merchant account and they were dpp...  i told him she not here and he was asking if theres anynumber to get a hold of her . i say no and try to call back later. I realize after i wrote down his number and i started to wondering if its a scam.. just went online and boy i was right.

just got a call same as the rest.  told them the owner was on vacation left extension 3859 to call back jessica. Thought it was a scammer so i told them i was concerned our credit card processing be shut down and they said it wouldn't.  I knew it would not because ours is thru quickbooks merchant services.

Got a call today from Ryan Durden with DDP at 1-866-420-9069 x 3854 saying our merchant services account had been flagged for national review. It seemed suspicious... boy am I glad I googled the number before bothering to call back!
