Just received a phone bill thru Centrytel for 14.95 which says that someone in my household made a call at exactly 12:00 AM. To a Fresh Mix Media which we never called or ever heard about. Had a call from a Spanish talking fellow which might have been this bill, but which I hung up as soon as I didn't understand him...

Found a charge for $14.95 on my Verizon bill, on behalf of "Bill Via Phone," which says to call 866-421-4816 if I have questions.  Well, I had questions all right, like who the heck are you and why are you charging me?  So I tried to call the number, got put on hold, nothing happened.  Eventually, I hung up and tried the web site, www.transclr.com, which is supposedly "under construction."  Finally, called Verizon about it and they said they would put a note on it "under dispute," and I don't have to pay it.  Somehow I don't think anyone will be following up on that trying to get me to pay.

I also was charged 14.95 by Transaction Clearing, which was on my Verizon bill last month, for a voicemail service that was never authorized. Verizon credited the the charge immediately, supposedly blocked this service, and I was told to call the number for Transaction Clearing. I tried but got only one ring and then silence. This happened 3 or 4 times. This month I was charged again for this service, so much for the block. I did finally get through to Trans Clearing and spoke with Wayne, #2058. He said my account was cancelled as of today and I would receive credit for the last 2 months charges. I proceeded to call Verizon and they also credited it off my bill again. Verizon has been surprisingly cooperative. Hopefully this is over now. I'll let you know if I have it again next month.

An unauthorized charge for $39.95 from "Transaction Clearing" showed up on my Verizon phone bill.  I called Verizon and they immediately credited my bill for the charge.  When I called the contact number for Transaction Clearing (866-421-4816), my call was answered by a warm body.  I asked if he was with Transaction Clearing and he said no, that he was with Secure Direct.  I'm not sure what the relationship is between the 2 companies, but I told him I wanted the charge removed immediately.  He said the charge was authorized by one of my employees.  I told him that person was not authorized to make changes to my account and that I wanted the charges removed and billing to cease. He said it was taken care of and gave me a confirmation number.  We'll see if it shows up on my bill next month!

I received a charge for $14.95 on my Verizon bill this month. I contacted them and asked them politely to remove the charge and they did. I called the 1-866 number and got a English1, Spanish2 prompt, then it said would you like to hear voicemail-1, cancel-2, so I went to 2 and then it read off a e-mail account with an Adelphia.com ending which Adelphia was acquired by Time Warner a few years back. So I cancelled and it says we're sorry to see you go but it cancelled for me. I will be looking again next month to see if any funny business is on again. It's definitely a scam. I wonder if someone is just taking phone numbers and not just from Verizon, maybe others too.

Just got my phone bill and saw two $14.95 charges, one for April and one for May, from TransClr.com.  I don't even *use* my phone for outgoing calls, the only people who call me are family, what is up with this?  I contacted Verizon but the number to contact TransClr has a recording saying to call Mon-Fri.  What a joke.

Just looked at my phone bill, was charged $14.95 for coast to coast photo, monthly fee. Contacted Verizon to tell them I was not paying the fee.  The bill had 2 phone numbers 1 866-421-4816, transcation clearing and 1-877-257-2455.  I called the 877# which was listed as Coast to Coast.  I actually got a live person.  She told me she would credit the account and gave me a confirmation #.  What a scam.  who would purchase a photo online storage and then charge it to your phone bill.  Oh and then she wanted my mothers maiden name.  Like I would her her that info. I might as well give her my SS# also.

This number is a 'clearing house' for MULTIPLE SPAM-CRAMS.  A CRAM, - Verizon told me - is when someone gets your name/ph. number and puts a BOGUS charge on your phone bill WITHOUT your prior knowledge or consent.  PEOPLE, THIS IS FRAUD!!!  The only way to protect yourself is to put the BLOCK on, as "Dave" said, but NO BODY TOLD US ABOUT THIS UPFRONT.  We've had our phone number for 30 years, and had a block on being "SLAMMED"  - where different phone companies could just 'kidnap' your number as their customer/account.  But, when we recently ordered Internet through Verizon, NOBODY (including the ordering website) warned, informed or gave us a choice about CRAMMING.

COMPANY NAME IS:  "RESIDENTIAL PHOTO SERVICES LLC", or so it said on my phone bill.
Verizon Said they are a KNOWN CRAMMER, In their Verizon Crammer Complaint Database.
**YOU HAVE TO ASK to register a complaint with them through your phone carrier; they will not volunteer to do this FOR you.**

Like Dave, I got the charges removed (although I DID call THIS NUMBER to do so - so NOW they will probably call me like so many SPAMMERS do - so now I'll have MORE problems to deal with!)  Surprisingly, I did get through, and it WAS English speakers.  The phone does answer with a recording which simply states its "Customer Service"; and DOES NOT GIVE A COMPANY NAME.

They DO try to SELL you the service when you call to CANCEL.  SO, Since YOU are calling THEM, they probably are getting around the DO NOT CALL LIST this way.

I also believe the Phone CARRIERS are getting a cut from this and are IN ON THE SCAM.

HOWEVER, they CLAIMED I 'ordered' this service through the website "employ-e-net.com" WHICH DOES NOT EXIST!!  There are similar sounding sites; but this exact site, which "Iris" repeated to me four times, IS ALSO BOGUS!!!  The website on my phone bill is listed as "WWW.TRANSCLR.COM" (all caps, sic), and this is ALSO BOGUS.  You get a site on GoDaddy.com that says "This site Parked for Free, Courtesy of GoDaddy.com"  There is NOTHING *IN* the Website; its available for purchase.

I'm taking it a step further:  I'm going to register complaints with the DoNotCall List as well as the FCC.  These people are SCUMBAG THIEVES and Bottom Feeders.  Time to GO AFTER them and INSIST that our government prosecute ALL of them - the scammers AND the phone companies that are ALLOWING this to go on by NOT warning us and giving us the option to PREVENT it in the first place.

I received my Verizon bill today, and saw charges from "OTHER PROVIDERS".
    There are two charges.
1.Star Sleuth Inc for news and info services
charges sent by PaymentOne (www.paymentone.com) Phone #1-888-934-7750
     amt of charge $15.88
    2. Supreme Savings Now LLC for Voicemail Services
charges sent by Transaction Clearing(www.transclr.com)Phone #1-866-421-4816
       amt of charge $15.88
A very helpful gentleman at Verizon was able to send the First charge back and remove it from my bill.
However he was not able to help with the Second charge!!!!!! Something to do with the way the charges are sent to Verizon.
I was able to contact their tel no. A computerized system got all the info and canceled the service, and sent an email with conformation #.
The gentleman at Verizon was able to put A BLOCK ON ANY FUTURE CHARGES.
Basically this means that you cannot charge any purchase to your Verizon account.
BUT THEN WHO NEEDS THAT??????!!!!!!!!!! No more charges on my Verizon phone bill.
But wait what about my ATT a/c???????? So called them up as well and they put in place a parental control and now nobody can send charges on that a/c without my authorization code.
Hope this info is of help.

I also recieved a charge for $14.95 + tax on my bill $16.00 total it was under the transaction clearing summary section. It gave a number on my phone bill to call so i did i asked who they were and why they were on my bill they told me they were an electronic fax service which no one in my house ordered. They told me it was ordered on 8-26-10 from a site employee.net.com (which i checked does not exist). They said they were crediting my account 2 credits because i would see this on my next bill as well. I just received this bill so i didnt understand how they wer already aware that it would be on my next bill as well. They also told me that i would see the credit in 1 to 2 billing cycles. They gave me a confirmation number and all. Tomorrow i will be calling my phone company to make them credit and report the scam to whomever they need to. Also u should contact your phone company and have things blocked so none can just add things to your bill without the phone company questioning it and calling you.

I just received my Verizon phone bill and have a charge for $14.95 plus $ 1.05 sales tax.  Transaction Clearing charged me a monthly fee for Fresh Mix Media (something I never heard of or signed up for).  I called Verizon to have the charge removed, totally useless.  According to Verizon, by law, they have to allow the charge, even though is is a scam.  I asked them how they could just let a scam go through like this, they said "well you must have signed up for something without realizing it".  I THINK NOT!  So I'll be contacting this ripoff company and demanding the charge be removed.  Then I am going to report this to the FCC.  Finally, I'm going to cancel my Verizon account, if they put a customer on hold for over half an hour and were totally uninterested in helping the customer, then the customer will cancel the account and go elsewhere.

    Robbed too!
    I too was scammed. . . .
It took Verizon to inform me that a charge of $14.95 has been posted to my phone account for the past 3 months.  The representative put a block on my account and credited me for the current month, as well as instructing me to call transaction clearing to request a refund for the two months past.
I called transaction clearing, only to be given the choice of canceling my account or changing my password.  When I stayed on line or pressed "O" for an operator, a recording came on telling me what number I was before an operator could answer my call.  Needless to say, when holding and hearing the descent of numbers, when I was told I was #1, the phone clicked off and disconnected.  I tried to call again with the same results.
With all the technology we have in this society, I would think that this same technology would be able to insure our security to trace and stop these criminals from robbing phone customers.  No one should be able to access our telephone accounts, bill, and receive payments which were neither ordered or authorized.  It's unfortunate phone companies cannot call for an approval before billing these charges.

LOL! I'm so tired of scammers and I just got my Verizon bill on Oct 14th 2010 and I had a charge from some Comm Link Direct. Says I owe 14.95 +tax. I can't get ahold of anyone and Verizon told me there was nothing they can do. Well guess what I'm not paying it I told them and if it don't get fixed and then Ill just get rid of Verizon's service all together. Cause I never authorized anything and don't take collect calls or ever even subscribed to some monthly fax fee. These people can kiss my @$$! I'm not paying it.
