- kk| 3 repliesReceived another call from 866-429-6045. A female recorded voice stated: "Please hold for information on your account" this was followed by about a minute of elevator music and then I was connected with an individual identifyins as calling from the University of Colorado Hospital concerning a statement that was mailed out. He asked if I received it, I responded that I wasn't sure. He then read me my address to confirm it, I confirmed it and he said that they would mail another statemnt. This call appears to be legitimate. I have recently had an appointment there and am awaiting my insurance companies's response to their billing, therefor assume that they are wanting payment.

- kc replies to kkI haven't had any business with Univ of Colorado Hospital, yet have received two calls. Neither recorded message identifies the company. I would suspect the caller and not give any more personal information.
- Nicole Smith| 1 replyI got a call and it was about a hospital bill I just received from Huron Valley Hospital in MI. Just got the bill and they are calling for payment...

- Nicole Smith replies to Nicole SmithI called back in regards to this call, the guy left a message previously. I only gave him my number. He said that it was in fact for the Hospital in Colorado. I have not been to Colorado, I live in MI. He then pulled up my number and name and said oh... I have you in here as Nicole Smith and I can give you a different number to call for your account or I can have them call you. I told him no thank you...
- Mark HaddockI was recently at the University of Colorodo Hospital and assume this is about their bill. The the messages just asked me to call back if I had any questions about their statement.
- MarkI received a message that said something to the extent of, "if you have any questions or concerns about the last monthly statement you received please call us at ###-###-####". I thought for some odd reason it was a credit card company, but after reading this it must have been from the University of Colorado as my wife had some tests done after consulting with one of their physicians a few weeks ago. I sent them a healthy $$ check a couple of days ago, or about 33 days from the date of the first statement they sent to us. I have to give them Kudos because they are very efficient and send their bills out very timely compared to some medical providers I've dealt with in the past..

- BLG| 3 repliesVoice mail received is "We are inquiring if there are any questions or concerns regarding your recent statement. If we can be of assistance, please call our toll-free number, 1-866-429-6045."
I have done business with CU Hospital in the Denver metro area. Still, it is suspicious that no institution name is given in these voice mails.- Caller: unknown
- Elle replies to BLG| 2 repliesI work for University of Colorado Hospital and I get these calls daily. The Hospital is not making these phone calls. The University always states the name of where they are calling from. The vagueness of these messages is a dead giveaway that this is not a legitimate phone call.
- MiCheeThis number is the billing department for the University of Colorado Hospital and doctor offices. If you ask me, this billing department is THE WORST billing department in any industry I've ever seen. They continuously bill the wrong insurance for me and I repeatedly have to call them and tell them again and again to bill my regular insurance. If you do get a call and they say you owe money, check with your insurance because I bet you most likely don't owe money. Good luck dealing with these people. I'm sorry any of us have to receive calls from them.

- ACI just got a phone call from this number. I too was told to wait by a recorded female voice, then some elevator music. A man came on the phone and asked if I had received a bill for medical services. I said I wasn't sure and asked what the amount was. He wanted my birthday for verification, against my better judgement, I gave it to him, he then asked for my ssn! I said, "NO! I won't give that to you, you called me!" He said, "Can I have your insurance identification number then?" I did not give him this either and said, "You called me, I'm not going to just give you all of this information, and if this is a legitimate call, you need to find a better way to deal with it because I can't believe ANYONE in this day and age would give any personal info to someone who calls them!" I then said good bye and hung up.
- Caller: University Hospital?
- AmyI have received 4 messages from this number over the last month. The message is a recorded message that states only my first, middle, and last name (mispronounced) and a 10-digit number. No further information is provided, including from whom the call is originating. I have not returned the call because I felt that if it was legitimate, it would at least provide a name and number for me to contact.
- JBWCourtesy call from University of Colorado hospital to see if I received a statement for recent visit. Legit.

- jimbobLegit (mostly). We have been getting regular calls with nothing but a automated voice asking for a person who must have had our phone number before us. Finally, I called back and they said they removed our number. We'll see if that works.

- NoofyourbusinessDon't like that type of music....
- DonovanThis is the University of Colorado business office. They are good people and are only calling if you owe them money for a procedure. They are very workable and flexible with payment plans as long as you stay in contact with them and don't avoid them. Program them in your phone so you do not confuse them with all of the other crap 866 numbers that we all get way too often. I don't work for them. I just had a major surgery there and am talking with them now (on hold) and figured I would give my two cents to you all and a lot more to the hospital :)

- BobbyJoe| 1 replyThis is, in deed, UCHealth. The person who called didn't bother to enunciate but I got the number off caller id. Even so, I had to listen to the recording several times before I could determine that the number the person was saying was the same number that appeared on caller ID. I could not figure out what company the caller was representing. I determined that by reading comments about the number on this site.
I have been seen by physicians at UCHealth, but I don't owe them any money. I called. After doing some reading and checking on things, the representative said he had no idea why I had received the call -- there was no reason to contact me.- Caller: UCHealth
- Call type: Unwanted
- BobbyJoe replies to J doeI had similar problems understanding the person who left the message. I had to listen to it several times before I could discern the phone number and my account number. I couldn't understand the name of the company the person represented -- I got that information from this site.
I don't care who you are, where you are from, what your background may or may not be, but if you're going to do phone work, then you need to learn how to speak standard English.
