Voicemail from unknown caller stating they need to talk to me about help with my student loans. The caller I’d says ‘unknown’ so I can’t block them.

Called about changes with my student loan, gave me this phone number over the phone but originally called from a "restricted" number.

Got phone call from 000000000 and the lady left a voice mail. She said that she is Lisa David, talk about my federal student loan ask me to call back this number.

Caller left a  message saying changes regarding my student loan

Voicemail says:
"Yes, this is Lisa Davis... ummm... I'm calling in reference to your federal student loan. I need to discuss your repayment options with the new changes that have taken effect.  Be sure to give me a call at 866-442-0344 with your student code of (insert five digit number here). Thanks."

Sounds pretty vague and fishy to me.  Needless to say I did not call back.

I received this call as "Unknown".  A voicemail was left stating,... this is about repayment for your Federally fund student loan to restucture due to new regulation changes.  This is Lisa Davis call back at 866-442-0344.  Use 2020x code for reference....     call ended
I haven't had a student loan in over 20 years!

This caller keeps leaving messages from various names, wanted to talk to me about my student loans. The most recent call was from a Lisa David, and occurred on 3-19-2018 @ 9:56am. They have also called on March 7th, (twice within 3 minutes), I called the number back the first time that a message was left, got a recording that asked if my student loans were above $10,000 or below $10,000. Since mine are $0, I pressed 2 for below $10,000. The call was immediately disconnected. I believe that this is a scam.

The caller ID came up unknown so I didn't answer but a message was left by Lisa Davis....same as everyone else.  I agree it is a scam - maybe a refinance.  I wish there was away to block unknown calls!

SCAM ALERT! Called 3/20/18 from unknown number and went to voicemail. They say their name was Lisa Davis and to call back at this #.

Received call 2x with voice message left from Lisa Davis or Lisa David?  She asks me to call back regarding paying back student loan with new federal regulations.  Told to call 866-442-0344 and use student code number 20206.   I called back 2x but each time they asked me to leave a message.  I did not leave message.  I don't have any student loan.  Will block them.

same stories as the others, the Lisa person even gave me the same code as pp. good idea not to answer blocked/unknown numbers.

Definitely a scam!!

I got the same call from the same woman claiming to need to talk to me about federal student loan changes with the same reference # as above. Not calling back and the caller ID came up as Private.

All other messages is exactly how it played out.  It is definitely a scam my student code matches others.  Don't call back.

They have another phone # which is 888-435-9490.
NEVER call them back.
They are terrible SCAM!

Just got the same exact voicemail. Even the ummm was in the same spot. I'm not calling back

Wow... I got the same call from Lisa Davis with the same reference number 20206... To me it seemed official because I really DID make some changes to my student loans with Income driven repayment so I called back...pressed 2 for "over 10,000" I didn't wait to get through to anyone because i got busy with other things.
She's a scammer... I tried calling the number back and an auto response said "cannot connect from your area"... I'm thinking i just called and it worked and now its NOT working. :-/  that's really fishy. So I looked online at my student loan servicer and that number is NOT associated with them.
***Scam**** DO NOT CALL BACK... I'm not sure what trouble I just got my phn number into :-(
