I receive a message on my phone from Joseph saying it was in regards to a check we had written and to call him back at 866-443-6985, but the number on the caller ID was 425-336-4680 with "unknown name". I'm glad I googled FFG & Associates BEFORE we called him back! Thank you.

i just got a call from joseph at 1 this afternoon. He called me from 480-305-0935. thats in phoenix. He called telling me the same crap. call him back at 866-443-6985

I received a call from FFG and actually called them back because they were calling my friends too (Jason I believe).  I did use to have a loan but paid it off, but they are saying I didn't.  I asked them to mail me the verification in writing and the person I spoke with refused to!  He said that they didn't have to because they were not a collection agency so therefore not subject to the Fair Collection Act, but a legal department and then proceeded to ask me if I had an attorney.  I told them that I needed this in writing please and he kept saying that he didn't have to but if I paid it he would send me something!  I then asked him how he could do that but not send me anything?  He then said he could and he would send it immediately and when I tried to reply he had either hung up on me or put me on hold.  I waited a few but no one came back on.  I learned from them also they were calling my friends, saying I had authorized it and I asked him to remove them because they were harressing them for no reason and they could file suit against him for it.  I did learn where I apparently had the outstanding loan still and will be contacting them and working through them, not FFG.  Anyone else have this issue in the state of Washington?

A man named Joseph left a message on the answering machine that said he was calling about a check that had been written to FFG & Associates and he needed to verify some information for security purposes. Then proceeded to leave the 866-443-6985 phone number.

They call daily leaving messages some Joesph . I have not written any checks either !!! How do you stop thes calls ???

they jus called me from a 573-535-6025 and its a ste geniveve,missouri number it is a scam ive done called attorneys general office and they said that its a scam ! and do not talk to them

This number has been calling my office looking for my 26 year old daughter,  I had my secretary call and ask this agency to remove my number from their database.  I talked to a "Mr. White" and he said to "have her DADDY call me...then i will remove this number from our database" then he hung up.

Yes I got the same call.  I wouldn't call that number back because we don't owe anyone money and have all of our checks have cleared the bank.  They must think there a bunch of stupid folks in this world.
It is probably another way to get your personal information.

Joseph has been very busy it seems.  I just got a call from him this afternoon.  A week or so ago it was"Peter" from FFG & Associates about a check I supposedly wrote and to call him back for security reasons.  Yea, right.  I thionk not!!!

Why you people aren't reading all the 100's of posts on here stating they are a scam.  They will never provide any legal document showing you owe the money just a statement which they create with information on it.  There will be nothing with your signature on it.  It's illegal and they should be stopped somehow.  DON'T SEND THEM MONEY PLEASE.

I've been getting one from Joseph as well, accept he is calling me from 214-390-2044 and a toll free number as well.  Can they see our phone bills to pick an area code that we talk to often?  I wish they couldn't call me at work.  They also say I have written a check, which is untrue.  I rarely write checks.

I just got a call from this company today.  My suggestion to anyone is that they don't call them back because they are not telling you who they are wanting to speak with for one, and two they are calling about a boggus check to get you on the phone.  I balance my checkbook everyday against my book so i know there is no way i owe on a check.  a lot of credit companies have a bad habit of calling and not saying who they are calling for which makes people call them back.  you are not obligated to do so, whether you owe money or not.  if they cannot leave a message and say that they are looking for so and so, then it's their problem.  As for Shelly telling the truth, I went to that web site she had and it lists the case against this company.  they are operating against an order to cease and desist.  All because they were never licensed to collect money from anyone or sue anyone for money owed.  This was effective in April 3, 2009so those of you who were sued, might want to talk to a lawyer.

OMG - I am really creeped out by this.  I got a call today from "Joseph" at FFG & Associates. It sounded like it was regarding a debt, because of the way he sounded in the voicemail.  "Your cooperation is appreciated..."  I do have $500 worth of medical debt for an emergency room visit that I never paid, so I thought it might be regarding that.  I called and the lady said they were calling to collect a debt for a payday loan that some guy named Cliff Langley never paid back.  I don't know a Cliff Langley, nor have I EVER taken out a payday loan.  I am really worried now, because she asked me for my social security number to look up information on any debt that I might owe.  After she didn't find it, I thought, oh no... What did I just do?!  What if this is a complete scam?  I am an idiot for giving out my social.  I immediately signed up for LifeLock.  Lol.  Has anyone else had a similar experience?

We've been receiving calls from (702) 445.7777 ext. 294, and the representative's name is Alex. This man has called our place of business more than 5 times a day every day for over a month now. The contact phone number he gives for return calls is (866) 443.6985, ext. 294. He's calling for one of our employees and said that he was calling from "The Law Firm of Robo & Associates". He has asked me for the last 4-digits of Jane Doe's SS#. because he said he needed to serve her papers. This office has even called with the phone # unavailable and said they were a constable and needed to know where to to serve papers, which is a violation within itself, because they are unlawfully operating under the quise of law enforcement. Well, I decided to call the number back, and low and behold, guess who answered the phone...Alex. He answered FSG and Associates. I didn't even have to ask for the ext. I then decided to look this company up on the WWW and there they stuck out like a sore thumb. FSG/FFG hire people that sound really intellectual and professional over the phone, and Alex did. I guess he used the name "Robo" because these are robo calls, but he said he was from a law firm and this is indeed no law firm. After I called the number to confirm the company name, I received no less than five calls back-to-back within a period of 5 minutes. As I stated earlier, this is not my bill but they are calling for an employee of ours and they are getting very creative in the way they try and get information from you about the person they are calling about, which in this case, included lying. I've to report this company to the FTC, BBB and the state attorney general. These people are bullies and will bully you...if you let them. They use all kinds of scare tactics...fight back. Tell them you are recording the call, write down each time they call, who calls and save any and all messages. I am not a lawyer nor legal counsel but you have to protect  yourself. Don't let the professional sound of the people on the other end intimidate you.  Other reps that have called from this company are Megan, Brenda, Jerry Sandy and Marion. Good Luck!

The guys name was Bo Stewart,  Very smooth but also very rude an intimidating this call he said he was a lawyer's office.  when he leaves a message it comes from the 7024457777 number but he leaves 8664436985 for me to call back with extention 234 ... when I do call it is always answered directly and never prompts for and extention.  The first time I spoke with him I asked for him to send me information with an itemized print out of exactly what I owed... He said that they had already sent it to me and are not required to send anything else (Big red flag) anyone fringe to get money from you will send invoice after invoice and refusing to send something should have ripped me off... I set a payment arrangement with them first I asked if I could send a money order.. Bow said no that it has to handled through our Financial institution(red flag numerous two)  two days before the payment was set to come out of my account I called to try and change the dates cause the money was not going to be there.  My wife is who called and the manager she spoke with was incredibly rude to the point that he made her cry... she ended the call with a "screw you... Sue me!!!"...  
      The very next day I have a voicemail stating that my payment was returned... which is bull cause it never even hit my account. That same day a woman sherry called my wife... she was very nice and appologetic for the way the other rep treated usand asked to finally settle this and set up a more reasonable arrangemen. HERES WHERE IT GETS INERESTING.  My sister-in-law (used as reference on the loan) calls me with a number of a woman who called her looking for me.. I called this lady who turned out to be from the payday loan company Bow claims to be representing. She said that many of their accounts were "Bogaurded" and are being collected falsely...  So now I've cancelled my debit card notifyed the fraud department of my bank and eagerly await another call from Bow Stewart......
   Hindsight is always 20/20 and I was I'd payed attention to the signs this smooth but sloppy rep left for me.... Never give info to anyone who refuses to send documentation by mail.  Never give money to someone who will only debit card payments.  And never let yourself get taken by FFG &associates

Received a call from Joe to return a call to "verify some information on a check I wrote".  I called back and the call was answered by a very rude individual who gave me a name of someone that was supposedly an employee of mine.  When I told him there was no one by that name there he suggested I should screen my employees better.  Since this is the 3rd time I've received calls from this agency and they still seem to call, I told him if I received additional calls I would report them.  He said, laughingly, "who would you report us to?".  I said the BBB.  He said "we're not a better business company".  I said, "no kidding".  He hung up.

I just called them back and made them send me the letter with their name, records, license, etc.  before going forward with this issue they have calling me.

They are definitely scum of the earth, low down, vultures.  

It is all good though.  
They will get their karma soon!
