Wow alot of people are being sued by FFG. I thought they were using scare tactics too but I just received a certified letter saying they are going to sue me if I don't respond within 7 days. I've been ignoring the calls for a few weeks but this letter came certified. I'll call them and pay my bill before I get sued. I'm a little curious as to what people are talking about "bad checks" they are planning to sue me over a debt I had when I financed some lawn equipment and never paid it off. It has nothing to do with a check. They must represent more then one client I guess. Some of you people need to learn the hard way in a court room I guess. They won't be suing me I'm going to call them and pay what I owe!

Wow, the scam collection businessmust be awfully slow right now since so many of their employees have time to post fake messages here. These people won't sue you. Hell, they won't even give you their address. They want to stay as far away from a court room as possible due to all their collection law violations. Don't believe their lies.

I received the same certified letter that says I have 7 days or I'm being sued. I thought it was from the IRS since it came certified but it's from FFG.

I keep getting a call from a Joseph and he identifies as calling from FMG & Associates 866-443-6985.  He states in the voicemail that he's calling in a regards to a check I wrote and that it's imperative that I call back to verify information on the check for security purposes.  It stiked me as a surprise because I haven't written out check for almost a year.  But when you get more info on the number it referes back to a 702-457-7777 in Las Vegas. These phonecalls get annoying because I get head to head with these people. can some give me more advise on this crap.

I received a call and voicemail left by "Joseph" to dial 1-866-443-6985 to repay a debt.

My phone number was 2 hours old. I had just bought this cell phone contract at a Sprint store.

How many people who have been contacted have Sprint or Nextel as their carrier?  I'm curious to see where this group is getting the phone numbers to call.

I have also received a threatening phone message from "Joseph" at 1-866-443-6985 xtn. 220 at work.  He said I needed to call him immediately "To avoid litigation".  I decided to google this number before calling back b/c I do not owe any debts nor have I received anything in the mail recently from this company.  It is Christmas time, so I was assuming this was a scam to get money out of me.  How unfortunate that these criminals are allowed to call you at work.  But, how forunate for me that I work in customer service and can record all calls that I receive.  Even if you owe a company money, they are not allowed to call you at work.  These companies need to be banned.

Hi Folks, I can definately tell you that 1-866-443-69875 is from FFG. I originally received a similar message from "Joseph" the pattern is the same as yours: "Joseph" called to verify information regarding a check I wrote. It happens that I do owe money to Ace Cash Express.I called and spoke to a Laryy Panero, or Paniero. He was very intimidating and I sent them a check for $375.oo on Nov. 9th of last year.  I received another cqll from him the other day and he warned that this wqs my last chance to call before they turned to litigation. Not knowing about your program until this evening, I called and spoke to "Alex" at the same number. For your information, Alex's extension is 253 and Larry Paniero's is 237. I have since agreed to pay $200.00 this Friday. Would appreciate any information and suggestions on my legal position.

I also was called from this company at work.  They told me that they were retained by a payday company that I did in fact have a loan with. I stopped paying on this loan because I found out that they were charging me more than the law allowed.  When I questioned the On-line Payday loan they wouldn't talk to me anymore, so I quit paying the loan.  I explained this to Frontier Financial and I had all my facts.  They were actually very nice and easy to work with.  I spoke with Brian Shelmyer, who settled the amount at a lower rate.  He emailed me the Western Union information as well as a letter stating the account was being settled in full.

I then read all these complaints and was leary about paying them.  However; I know that I owe the on-line payday company and want to pay them off.

Regardless, if the company is fradulent.  If you owe someone money, try and work something out.  Talk nicely to them and they will be nice to you.  As I have been reading some of these posts, the people they are getting nasty with are hanging up on them, etc.  Bottom line I guess is that if you owe money try to get it paid so you don't have to live in fear of being sued by anyone.

This company is very real and for those that are taking this as a joke you will see when they got you in court in front of a judge paying court fees. When i first got the call from Joseph i thought it was a joke as well and didn't return the phone calls until i got one that threaten that i needed to call ASAP and that is what i did. He gave me the number to the ppl that I owed money to and they said they sent my debt to the collection agency which is FFG & ASSOC. They will work with you they actually work with me and the guy was very nice. Just don't screw them over because they will make you pay for it at the end. Lucky for me my bill was only 185.00 but i have heard of ppl having to pay 1000's more plus court fees because they thought these ppl were solicitors.

I got a phone message today from Joseph at FFG Associates who said to call him regarding a check that I wrote because they needed some additional information.  The caller ID on my cell said the number was 714-660-4240 (Yorba Linda, CA) but the number he left to call back was 866-443-6985.  When I called I didn't provide them with anything they just said are you Lillian Colemeyer I said no and they said they would remove my number from the list.  After I hung up I started getting worried that someone had stolen my identity and wrote a bad check.  I called back and asked who the check was written to.  They said Ace Cash Express but would not give me any additional information.

A Joseph called from this number and left a message saying he needed to speak to me about a matter that needed to be resolved, he said he wanted me to call him back asap to verify information. He said he was from FFG & Associates. He never once said who he was calling to speak to. If a company is calling to verify information, then obviously they don't have the correct information or don't have any information at all. So don't give it to them!!

I received a phone call from this company this morning.  I called back and spoke with someone who was very nice and helpful.  I knew i had the debt and when the debt was from...so i knew that this was valid.  It was a small amount ($300) so they offered payment arrangements to pay it off over a three month period which i agreed to.  They electronically debit my account which i am ok with.  I spoke with my attorney who actually advised me to do this but to send him all of my paperwork and to summarize the phone call.  I usually ignore these calls and just run them by my attorney but this time he told me to call them back and find out what they were calling for and to try to settle this debt.  Anyway, the man i spoke with explained that they are the "middle man" between the company you took the loan out with and the attorneys and they try to settle before turning it over to the attorneys but since most of the debt is small, most people attempt to resolve it and no attorney involvement is required.  He also said that since most of the debt is so small, that most times, it never goes beyond their office which i took to mean that you will not be sued, etc.  I resolved this to get it off my plate...i'm actually sick of the phone calls i get so it easier to make the payments over three months than to receive phone calls at my work and the threat hanging over my head.

Obvious bogus post from the collectors, if one word of this is true this person would NOT have been searching for the number here.

And the advice to let these clowns "electronically debit" your account? Great way to give them ALL your money.

No reputable collection agency makes shill posts like this on 800 notes, only the scammers and chronic FDCPA violators do.
