Got a call from a "process server" claiming to be wanting to schedule a time to meet with me to deliver a "summons" for a "check fraud" case. He left a voicemail for me and told me if I had any questions I could contact 866-448-4110. I have been officially notified and good luck.
Of course, a REAL summons has to be served either by sheriff or by mail to the last known address. Since I haven't moved in nearly 5 years and I haven't received a summons via mail or sheriff, I can only assume that this is BS. I don't think the legal system considers a voicemail as sufficient service for a summons. lol

I received the same voicemail. Same message, from a Ron Delman. I called the 866-448-4110 to report that I did not know the person they were notifying about a summons regarding a check fraud. The guy who answered the phone had the same voice as the guy who let the voicemail, however, he said his company did not place calls. He said he had no info on the person the summons notice was left for on my voicemail but that he would nake a note of my call.

Same thing just happened to me. Said he was trying to serve me and wanted to know if I was writing bad checks. Told him no. He told me he did not want to embarass me so he gave me this number of 866-448-4110 (Bayview) and told me to call them. Wished me good luck. Would not give me his phone number. Said it was a secure line. Whatever???

Ditto to all that.....name was Michael Sauer....haven't called the 866 # yet -  not sure I want to........does anyone know what this is really about???

I just received a call from this number (Brad Blackwell) and he stated the same thing in the voicemail that he left. I have been officially notified and good luck, I would think that the bank would come after me first and besides that I have a well balanced check book! Insane.................

Yes someone gets calling from this number. So far has called my family and friends from atlanta to newyork asking for me. I don't know who these people are, and I never write bad checks. These is crazy. They even left a message with my aunt to get back to me about some bad checks. The bad thing is that they are putting false things on my name. Ithink they goggle people. And start calling who ever they find a common last name. They are crazy. When I call back. Non of the information matches mine. A mess

Don't know what to do - I have tried returning the call to no avail.  Do need my paycheck short for any reason.

GOT A CALL FROM A MR. SANCHEZ  STATING THAT MY HUSBAND WILL BE GETTING SOME PAPERS SERVED IF HE DIDN'T CALL HIM BACK AT THIS SAME NUMBER AND LET ME A EXT. 310. WHAT DO WE NEED TO DO ABOUT THIS? MY HUSBAND IS ON A LAYOFF AND CAN'T AFFORD TO PAY BACK THE PAYDAY LOAN AND SAID WE DO NOT PAY IT HE COULD GET JAIL TIME FOR A FRAUDULANT CHECK. IS THIS TRUE OR FALSE? WANTED TO TAKE MONEY OUT OF MY ACCOUNT TO PAY FOR THIS. ARE THESE PEOPLE FOR REAL? THEY CAN'T PUT YOU IN JAIL FOR A PAYDAY LOAN CAN THEY?

Received a msg on my recorder stating that they are looking for my son who owns on a PayDay loan. The threat was that a court summons would be sent to his last employment and residence if it wasn't paid. I returned teh call @ 1-877-255-1947 to discover that they want me to pay off is loan with in 24 hrs adn they will give me a "special rate". When I asked the name of the company I was told "The Bar Group" and the guys name was Jake Conner. I told him to email me all the info and when I rec'd that I acually rec'd a "settlement offer" from Bayside Asset Recovery. The return email address was -rsouthworth@baysideasset.com.- There is NO way in hell I am sending money to ANY agency via credit/phone!!! What's up? The phone msg was also very detailed and somewhat threatening...like jail time.
