says its koodo..dont know if it is

If I answer the caller lets it run and I end up paying for the call as it is a 866 number.
DANGER DON"T ANSWER!!!

866 is toll free in Canada...

I answered a call from this number, and it was silent for about 5 seconds then disconnected. The same has happened in the past. Others have said it's legit Koodo, but I can't confirm. I am a Koodo customer though.

Not a Koodo customer, and getting calls from this #. Little fishy to me.

In my recent experience this call it is a sales promotion service outsourced by Koodo. Most communication and TV/Internet providers outsource their promotions and sales to 3rd party companies. Although they are a nuisance, my experience doesn't appear to be a scam. However to be safe if you are unsure do not provide details about your personal account if you are a Koodo customer unless you wish to take advantage of an offer or service upgrade. As a 3rd party company they do not have access to your private account information other than your name and number on their call list.
