- SeattlecaliThe company calling from this number is a debt collection company called Allen Goldstein and Assoc. They make harassing calls for old debts that are out of the statue of limitations or are completely untrue claims. Look them up under 855-222-3082 to see a full list of complaints. DO NOT GIVE THEM A DIME... many have had the company keep taking money once they have paid what they originally asked for. They have an F with the Better Business Bureau and the list goes on...

- Fed upThese people use tactics to scare people. They claim they are working with the Sheriff Department and someone is on their way to serve u with a warrant. They r rude and must send u a written notice if they r legit. They will call u from GA and NY. Don't send them payments with prepaid debit cards as they will ask. It is a scam .
- W T FJust got a call from this number, the caller claims they can't verify my info and need me to call back about a "sensitive matter." They even called my parents' number, saying I needed to call that number at extension 305. My dad suggested calling the Attorney General on these guys.

- not gonna pay| 5 repliesI got a call this morning and they left a msg saying they are sending stuff to my work and home address and that I need to verify some sensitive info and they know that by looking at the type of person I am that I wouldn't just let stuff like this go. Lol. Kiss my ass, you ain't getting [***] from me.

- feedup36| 1 replyGot a call from this number today stating that they are from the Civil Procedures Division and are looking to execute their right to serve me papers at my residence or home. They do not state what it's about. These people are calling family members and my husband at work. When I call these people back they can't tell me any info, but want me to "verify" social, address etc. I have told them over and over to cease calling me and my family or I'd turn them in to the FTC. They are rude and a SCAM!

- lojay1982Just recieved a call & the person sounded like a recoreded message, said they were calling from the civil division. Like really??? didn't even specify who they we're calling for..delete, delete, delete & I will filter it to my spam caller ID..to block the calls...CRAZY!!!!!!!
- FieryMomCalled me twice in 30 minutes claiming to be from "Pre-Legal" and claiming that they had a case against me from CashNetUsa, charges were going to be filed, they had all my information, etc. Gave me false stories about my employment, and subsequent disability, then when I refused to pay, suddenly it became a "Federal" case that they were going to file against me for working while on disability (which you're allowed to do up to a limit, and I was at that limit). She was "only trying to help me" and thought she was doing me a favor by giving me a "heads up" that papers were about to be served, I would do jail time for intent to defraud, etc. I simply hung up on her and 30 minutes later they called back. Added to Call Control's BlackList call filter!

- Shannon replies to not gonna pay| 2 repliesI got the same exact message...she's said she doesn't usually make calls but by looking at the type if person that I am that she knows there's no way that is let this go...lol!!!!
- Lgbest replies to feedup36I got the same message from Mr. Jackson. He sounded all serious at the beginning, then started laughing in the background at someone who I'm sure was making fun of him on his call. Says he's going to be having papers served at my home or work, and do not state remotely what it's about, never even says : This is an attempt to collect a debt...etc. Wanted to know if I had received any type of documentation in the last 45 days. And this was all on my voicemail at home. I didn't even speak to him. And won't either.
- Uncovered the scammersjust returned a call. She started on the same spiel about the legal division and I immediately stopped her in her tracks and advised that any debts were protected by rules of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and that there were laws and regulations associated with it. She hung up. I immediately called back and asked for the same extension and was advised that she was "in Court." LOL....In like 20 seconds...I said "wow' that's pretty good.
- DF replies to Shannon| 1 replyi just got a voice-mail yesterday (didn't listen till today) and it went like this
"Hi (my name) this is Adair calling from Civil Procedures Division. I don't normally make calls but seeing your profession, I can't believe you would ignore something like this." I was immediately saying to myself "WTF?" Then she rambled on and said something like 'I'm not entirely sure of your involvement in this case but you need to call us back immediately." Then, as she said "call us back at" she started to read off a number but apparently she started to read the (supposed Case#) she started to giggle and apologized and then read off the phone number and then the Case number.
I literally was having a heart attack because as a law abiding citizen, I pay my bills, haven't had an accident and have never had litigation against me. I continued to say "WTF? Is this a wrong number? But wait, she said my name." So, continuing to be a concerned and responsible citizen, I called the number. After about 4 rings, someone picked up. I said, "May I please speak with Adair?" After a few seconds of hesitation, (almost like they didn't know who Adair was) she said, "Please hold."
A few seconds went by and then I realized the call was disconnected. They hung up.
So I immediately called back (tried multiple times for 20 mins) and no one would pick up and it went to "Alan Goldstien and Associates" general voice-mail. Concerned and curious of what this could possibly be about, I decided to "Google" the number and up came you guys and your posts. Thank God cuz I was really confused. There was no reason for me to have any litigations against me.
This scam should be illegal. I can definitely understand how some people might get trapped into this because it sounded legit at first. - DF replies to DFUpdate:
I just went through my old call log and voice-mail, and for about 6 months (it's how long I've had this number) I was getting repetetive calls from the same 866-448-8201 number asking for a Stacy or Patricia (via voice-mail). I never answered till last month when I told them to stop calling cuz they had the wrong number. They said they'd take me off the call list and I never thought of it again. Didn't even put two and two together until I listened to the old Voice-mail. They had the same call back number, same case # but magically different company names. I guess since i answered back then, they put my number on hold for a month then reverse engine search my number to get my name and are now trying to get me to fall for the scam. - Jodi SwettHarassing phone calls
- ScamThese people never left my name but did say it was "some matter involving my social security and drivers license number". Forget it folks. I take care of my business and if you were legit, you'd know where to find me. Have a great day.
- AnonCalled asking for my mother by name, when I refused to confirm my identity, "Adair" from Associated Prelegal launched into her script about owing money to Red Leaf Lending. She refused to give me her last name or and would only identify her location as New York. When I stopped and informed her that Associated Prelegal has no internet presence with the exception of several testimonials identifying it as a scam, she simply responded, "Okay" and hung up.
