Collection agency on behalf of Columbia House DVD club.  I was a member and paid in full so I am disputing.

I called the number back. It is PGC a "Credit Reporting Agency." A man with an Indian accent answered after a few minutes of waiting.

THIS IS A SCAM!

I received a message to call this number 866-452-6655  I just called and
STEVEN BROOKS  with an Indian accent  kept telling me to please hold on their system was slow. I told them this sounded like bull [***] to me and hung up. I had called them from work and they just called me back (they must have caller ID) I told him that I had done some research and believe they are a scam and hung up on him.

I've tried calling this number back (with the number blocked of course) and I get the same recording "no one is available to take your call at this time, please call back later"    A message on my machine EVERY DAY from these people...and they can't answer the phone??? That's a scam...

I had tried calling the number back before (these people leave a message that you are suppose to call back about a file that you have with them) and all you get is a recording saying to 'Hold for the next available representative'.  After reading these posts, I realized that my 17 year old son had ordered DVD's from Columbia House about 4 years ago and only paid for half of them and that must be what it's all about.  If Columbia House can sell DVD's to a teenage kid (13 years old to say the least) then they better get a better way to secure money from them (like ask for the money up front????)  :(   Just my opinion.
