Called as Sears CitiBank. Asked for birthdate

We have been contacted by Citi Bank claimlng to be from Sears regarding a past due account.  We have been called repeatably.  We think this is a scam.  The best thing to do is not ansver tne phone if you have caller id or hang up.

The best thing you could do is handle it properly.

I just received a call from this number but they said it was for a Nancy Bowman. I never heard of her. I didn’t call them back. I was going to just to let them know that they called the wrong number but my husband said it could be a scam. So I googled “is 866-469-1345 a citi bank number and got this blog! So glad I didn’t call and glad I found this blog!!! SO HELPFUL!!!

Call to my cell, showed as "Unknown;" did not leave a message. Did a search and got this web page, decided to add a comment.

Called my cell phone,did not answer,always  robot calls,telemarketers or scams I do not answer nor trust,thanks for this website !

I had a message from my answer machine. The display listed it as being from Citi Sears Card. It looked legit so I called back using this number because it looked similar to the number on back of the card. I gave some info that I wish I hadn’t. I already got scammed once when paying my bill on their website. My payment went through but suddenly a scammer was on my computer and into my bank records and they had pulled up all the payees I had set up for online bill pay (which included account numbers.

It's Sunday morning and I just received a call from this number. No message was left... came up as unknown name on the CID. So uncool!

This call came in at 10 30 on a Sunday, today, said citibank on my cell but did not leave a voice-mail, I find that very suspicious. Yes i have a sears credit card. But citibank never calls my cell they call house phone!

Google assistant transcript says it's a call about shop your way, which I do have a Sears card, but my phone marked this as spam and I'm not answering.

I just got called at 8:00 AM.  I didn't answer.  Decided to goggle the number and found this site so glad I did.  Scammers are everywhere don't answer ever!! Thank you.
