They call at least once a week, sometimes twice.  They always leave the same message, asking to call an back with an account number.

I actually received a live call today, for the first time (all others were automated, recorded messages); it went to my voice mail.  The contents of this message are:
"This message is for Judith.  My name is Monica Stewart, please give me an immediate call back, you can reach me at 866-483-7817, extension 319".  The caller ID identified the source number as 630-262-2319, which is apparently a land line in Geneva Illinois.

Did not state who the call was for, just said that this was important business and that I needed to call back at 866-483-7817.

Here is some additional information, per my May 12 post.  I called the 630-262-2319 number, and it was a direct line to Ms. Stewart.  She confirmed that this is indeed KCA Financial, a collection agency (See Alfalfa's post, March 6).  The woman indicated that they have a computer auto-dialer that routinely calls their "clients" (uh huh, right.).  She said wrong numbers happen, and that all I have to do is give her my number that they keep calling and that she'll remove it from their system, which I refused to do given others attempts at this (apparently without success), and my overall general distrust of collection agencies (who knows, giving my number may just confirm for them that its a valid number, thereby increasing the calls, just like spam email!).  Perhaps the "ex employee" at the following post can explain why KCA thinks autodialers are legal and what purpose a collection agency has using one:

they call my house EVERY DAY...(from 866-483-7817) for a Wendy somebody I don't even have a clue who she is, I've told them a million times & politely asked to be taken off their list, to NO AVAIL... today at 3pm this JERK called & once again I ask please take my # off your list you people call my house EVERY day! Then he has the nerve to argue with me, I proceed to get irate-due to the frustration they have built up with me. I told him we can argue if he wants but all I wanted was to be taken off the list and that way they can quit wasting my time & theirs! He keeps wanting to argue saying "how did I call you everyday if I just got your number today?" WHATEVER.. I can plainly see their phone number on my caller ID as it calls everday & sometimes it just calls & then the call does not process other times when I answer it just sits there till I hang up and other times such as today I get a recording stating there is personal business matter for Wendy if you are Wendy press "1" if you are not press "2"...PLEASE give me a break, how can I get these calls stopped & get this jerk in trouble??? Probably not even possible. I hate them. Thanks for the vent...

You can do more than just vent; you may want to consider filing a complaint with the FCC.  I've already filed two FCC complaints against this company for repeatedly calling my cell phone.  They are a debt collector, and depending on the nature of the call to you they may be violating federal law.  The more people that file with the FCC, the more likely that there will be action taken against them.

they had me one of nicknames and told me to call them and when i do they do not give the company name just please hold for an associate

These creeps ahve been calling me lately except the # on my caller ID is 630-262-2326 and when I called back it said "Mr. Green" was out. "Mr.Green"had earlier left a message saying he was a Detective somebody, which I know for a fact is a felony, impersonating a police officer. These scumbags are new in town, judging from their web site, half of which is still under construction.

now they are calling from 866 372 7062 and putting me on hold. Their recording says their are two holding and to leave a message. They also lied and said they sent me a letter, which they never did. I am reporting them to the BBB and FCC. A ambulance company sent this to collections, even though they knew I was negotiating with my insurance company to pay the reminder and I had a financial aid form mailed on to cover the $127 I owe the company. I was only suppose to pay 42.50 and the ambulance company overcharged me.

They're medical debt collectors. Hospital bills in my case. I STUPIDLY called trying to work something out but they wont make doable arrangements. They refused, so I'll send them $1.00/month. With NO income, good luck! I just ignore toll free calls and Unknown calls anyhow. I DO know my rights and will put it in writing to cease calls.
