- Tracy| 1 replyI received a call from 856-452-3428. This area code is for Southern New Jersey (where I live). The woman (Karen Miller - not TOO generic) left a message telling me that a judgement was going to be filed against me in 30 minutes and I needed to call 866-487-6295 and give whoever answered (anyone, it didn't matter who. Could be the janitor for all they care) a claim number. She could not (or would not) tell me who was going to file the judgement. She said if I called that number then they could explain everything to me. I told her I would pass along the message to my attorney. She said I was the one who had to call, not my attorney, that I was the "legal party responsible" for whatever debt she was referencing. I told her my attorney had my permission to act on my behalf. She started yelling at me not to have my attorney call, that I couldn't do that. Then she hung up on me. I tried calling her back at the incoming number, but it said the number was not in service. What a freaking scammer!!!!

- Sue replies to TracyI received a call from 855-663-5165 from a Katrina from Accurate. She could not give her last name due to the nature of her business. Couldn't give me where the company was located only told me Northern Colorado but I kept pushing and she finally told me Denver, Colorado. I asked for an address and she said she couldn't provide me with an address but when I pushed again she gave me the address 600 17th Street, Suite 2800, South Denver Colorado stating that was the administrative office When I researched the address there was an Accurate Financial Partners, it was a virtual office, not a physical office. I called the building and was told that there is a company Accurate Financial Partners but they only take messages and the woman answering the phone said she did not believe it was the same company calling me. I was told by Katrina that I owed 130.00 for an old pay day loan back in 2009 and that I can clear this up with them prior to the filing a claim and If not I would have to go through the courts to handle. I asked for verification of debt and all they sent was a letter just stating what Katrina had advised me in her first phone call. The letter didn't have my complete address, was very vague and was not signed by anyone. I did not provide Katrina with any information to pay off the supposed debt. The next morning received a call from the supposed locator saying he had a ticket to remove my claim in his database but I needed to call Accurate to make sure my payment was processed. This supposed locator called from a local number and when I asked his company name he hesitated and finally told me EDP. When I tried to ask additional questions he hung up. I dialed back the number and was advised that it was the Department of Investigation and that they don't take in coming calls. Most Departments of Investigations handles government fraud and embezzlement instead of a 130.00 pay day loan. I have a trace call feature on my phone. I called Comcast and the told me that it was not a local call but a computer generated call and more than likely was a scam. THIS IS A SCAM. IF YOU EVER OWE MONEY ALL CREITORS HAVE TO BY LAWPROVIDE YOU IN WRITTING VERIFICATION OF DEBT. DONT LET THESE PEOPLE SCARE YOU INTO GIVING THEM MONEY. ANY LEGIT CREDITOR WILL SEND YOU A CERTFIED LETTER INFORMING YOU OF THE DEBT AND WILL ALLOW YOU TO MAKE ARRANGEMENTS FOR PAYMENT.
- Mr. NOSPAMReceived a call from this number today and they did leave a message. Identified themselves as a representative with a bogus claim# from Accurate. Said something to the tune that this was the last time I had to take care of this matter before they procede any further. This is a straight scam, nothing was provided to me regarding any real information and had a similar call from a local number also referencing a claim# although they were different their messages were nearly identical especially that no REAL information regarding why they were calling other than a "claim#". Pretty fishy stuff
