MESSAGE "My name is Gina, return call at 866-502-7169 and refer to record ID 789180".  I called United Healthcare on the back of my UHC ID card and there is no record of United Healthcare Outreach Department and there was no need to contact me. There was no such record 789180 anyway.    Scam Suspicion.

Called back and talked to somebody from UHG!

Or it's a scammer pretending to be UHC Outreach. By the way, do you often look up known phone numbers when there's no logical reason to do so?

Same as others - stating they are from United Healthcare Medicare Advantage.  The number given is NOT for United Healthcare. Can't fool with this old lady. I have a mind to call THEM and make up some crazy s&&t.

Was called by this number and it was definitely a scam. I called United Health Care and it is a scam.
I hung up and called a familiar number for United Health Care and made a report.

States - This is Trevor at United healthcare operation outreach. Call 866-502-7169. Use reference number 982-608. This is a scam. He is called twice. He's a scam artist. Do not give any information to this number ever! Googled # also.

Received call from United Healthcare Outreach 866-502-7169.  Was immediately suspicious due to: the poor quality of the phone connection, the fact that the subject party had not been associated with our organization or benefit packages for more than 7 years and we have not had any association with United Healthcare in more than 20 years.  No I'm not calling them back!  Blasted phishers!!!  LOSERS!

Wanted to verify when I ended the medical insurance with my employer and if I had any other medical insurance along with Medicare.

I called UHC customer service and they confirmed that 866 502 7169 is a uhc (optum) number, so this is not a scam.

Just because this is (allegedly) a UHC number doesn't mean all calls are from them. Or have you somehow never heard of phone number spoofing? And why are you even here? Do you often look up known phone numbers when there's no logical reason to do so?

A woman said she was from United Healthcare Advantage Plan.  Gave our employees name and Date of Birth (I did not confirm either).  Then asked me to confirm the start date of his insurance, which he has had for a year now.  At that point I told her that I would not answer any questions and told her to send an official letter in the mail because we do not answer employee personal info questions on the phone.  It is really unfortunate that scammers target our vulnreable elderly population.

Claimed to be from United Health Care calling for a "coordination of benefits" for an employee. Our company does not use UHC for employee benefits and she then said it could be for a current or previous employee. She got very rude when I asked if she could clarify what exactly they needed but since I had already said I wasn't in charge of HR she used that as reason to refuse answering. Gave phone number of 866-502-7169 and Record ID 1336100. This was reported to UHC fraud division and they do NOT use or own a phone line that is 866-502-7169. This is a SCAM. Do not fall for it.
