I received this call twice. Second time they left a message stating that I could potentially receive discounts for being a frequent FedEx office customer.. not sure if it's legit. And I don't plan on calling them back.

I do direct mailing orders often thru their website.  It was an actual person calling on the phone, and she explained discounts I could get if I opened a print account with them.  Don't know if I will necessarily, but it may be worth it if I end up doing more mailers in the future.

I applied for the FedEx Office discount for my company and never received further info. Had to answer lots of questions about our company over the phone, thankfully didn't give them too much info or sign us up for an invoicing account. When I tried to follow up with her ebonie.huewitt.osv@fedex.com for my discount card, my email was returned as undeliverable.

Just because they say they are FedEx doesn't mean they are. Check the FedEx website for fraud prevention. They state they never ask for all the personal info.

Also beware that the telemarketers will use this website to state that the call is legitimate hoping to collect more private information from people.

You did not apply for anything. What you did was give your company's private FedEx information to a stranger. If FedEx is offering a "deal" then you can call their number listed on their website. While you are looking at the FedEx website, you can also review the fraud prevention information they provide.

I received a call/voicemail, and I called the number+extension left on the voicemail.  It's telemarketing by FedEx (likely from the fact I (unfortunately) put my phone number on a paper form to mail a package at one of their local storefronts - they are unfortunately taking advantage of these numbers to tele-market - what a poor user experience!).  When I called, I asked to be put on their no-call list, and they supposedly complied.  FedEx you're disappointing me, stop phone-spamming your users!

Ditto, SayNoToFedExPhoneSpam!  I do all my co's shipping, but when she said I'd used their printing services, I said I hadn't and didn't know anything about it.  She kept asking for information and was very pushy, exactly like a telemarketer.  When I asked her to mail me info about the big discounts,so I could get it to the various people who do print projects, she said they could only do it by e-mail. Oh well, then, sorry. Yes, I have always thought FedEx was a good company - I surely hope they're not behind this low-class crap marketing scheme.  I give it a thumbs down and "Kindly remove me from your list".

Have rec'd three or four of these calls in the past two months.  They always leave a message, and it comes through really staticy.  At least they could've used a better phone, phone service, or data plan!! I do not answer my phone when strange numbers appear.  All messages indicate that I am entitled to some great saving for their print services.  The thing is that my only interaction with FedEx/Kinkos was for printing one set of event brochures for my son's class play!! What type of discount --what volume-- are they talking about???  I rec'd another one of these calls yesterday.  Thanks to this website at least I see that I'm not the only one.

This is legit. They called to tell me that i qualified for some discounts. They asked me information of what I printed b/c they said that was to give me the correct discounts. I answered their questions. They then asked me to verify the last 4 digits (what are they going to do with that they need the whole # to use it.) of my account #. I did and when I went in to use my account # I noticed on the receipt that it reflected the 40% discounts they promised me. It was a great savings. Again this is legit!!!!!!

I also got calls from Fedex Office kinkos. They kept leaving me messages. One day I picked up to see what the deal was and it's legit. They gave me free discounts off of my printing. What's neat about it is that it doesn't matter how much I print I always have the discounts. I just received my card in the mail and used it today. I got discounts off of some banners I needed for a tradeshow. Good deal.

Wow the shills have really turned out in force. Thanks for confirming IT'S A SCAM!

Once again, you have to fail an IQ test for somebody to hire you to make fake posts on 800 notes ... this one failed miserably in every way.

    Let me offer some advice.

If you give out the sort of info they seem to be requesting, you are placing your firm at risk.  One possibility is that these calls are related to money laundering and credit card theft activities in which "work at home" scams are duping innocent people into shipping items overseas.  Such schemes frequently involve providing a FedEx number to the mule.  So I can see where they might use a scheme like this to harvest FedEx accounts.  You really wouldn't want to get the shipping bill, or be interviewed by law enforcement about that sort of activity.

I suggest that you take a simple step to protect yourself and your business.  Tell the caller that you have to verify who they are before you can speak with them further.  If they object, you know it is a scam.  If not, it may still be a scam, so contact FedEx and verify things.  If FedEx confirms it is legitimate, ask them to connect you to whoever this person is if possible, and if not, ask THEM for the number you should call the person back on.  If it isn't legitimate, ask them if they can put a fraud warning up on their web site.

Just so you have no excuse for failing to protect yourself, here is the contact info page for FedEx:

    http://about.van.fedex.com/contacts

Be safe, and watch out for possible shills trying to get you to lower your guard in this thread.

BTW - I have a FedEx account, and no one has ever called me from them except when there was a delivery snafu.
