I think these people are trying to sell me on a new natural gas provider. They asked to speak about my gas bill, but I called back and the number is not for my local utility. I did not get a name for the company.
I was put on hold automatically and hanged up.

A company called "Consumers Choice" called and said since we have been paying our consumers bill on time they would like to lower our rate!  Yeah right, since when does anyone want to lower your rate!  We are a small company who is actually behind on our bill so I knew it was a crock when "Tawana ext 0209" called me!

Being in purchasing I thought this may have been an 'important' call but it looks like a telemarketer. Returned call after the third time they called me to find an answering service picked up (with some pretty loud people and rap music in the background). Said the person's line was busy, probably making some more 'important' calls to people. Not retuning any more of their calls. At least the person who left me messages ended by hoping I have a blessed day. Thanks, I will!

called my cell phone and said it was the gas department and that I needed to call Tuwanna back.  I called and got an answering service only who would not tell me who they were and wanted my number so Tuwanna could call back; so I hung up.

"Kevin" ext. 309 left a message and said our company was eligible for a discount on our gas bill.  Not our utility company. I will not bother to call back.

Called 866-512-7660 three times before I realized that this is not my gas company but solicitors/telemarketers.  You call back and are put on eternal hold...I finally started asking questions and was told to hold and proceeded to wait so that I might issue a complaint...but I got tired of holding! Dont bother to call back...they are obviously not a respectable business!

Robert (ext. 287) with Vista Energy called to tell me about a free program that would lower our business' energy bill if I would just review our company's bill with them.  When I told him I was not authorized to make changes, he told me it was not to change my utility provider, it was just a program to lower our rates. I told him I did not have the authority to join any program and he no longer wanted to talk to me. He asked that the owner call him back. I'm glad I didn't waste any more of my time with him.

When they left me a voice message they said they represented Conn Light & Power - only problem, we don't use them......

Voice mail message to our company said that our accounts with UI (United Illuminating -- electric co.) are in good standing and we qualify for a rate reduction for the next twelve months.

They are still at as of July 22nd 2009

Just got call left on asnwering machine.."saying... THis call is in response to your Con-Ed gas Bill, please call..866 512-7660 x852.  You get the call and immed think their might be problem with your bill, check not received, who knows, so you call them back and it is sales call.  Beware
