    I got an automated message telling me to call Sallie Mae regarding my loan application. Since I'm not applying for any loan at this moment, I know that it was not them. I did call Sallie Mae (real contact number) to inform them about this call. They only have 2 service line that starts with 866 but they do not have any that follows 866-512-xxxx.

    Smells like scam...must be scam.

    I also got a call by the same number with a message to call Sallie Mae regarding a loan application. I did apply for a loan but later cancelled it.
