WWAP is a bottom feeder debt buyer of old portfolios that may be totally lacking in legal validation and possibly out of statutes. The Hanna reputation has always been one that is tainted, dating back more than twelve years, so anyone dealing with WWAP is warned to be very cautious. Paying WWAP will not help you or your credit reports.

getting a call several times on my mobile from 866-512-9567, now i dont pickup the call.

Now i am getting calls several times from 866-512-9567, is there anyway to stop these calls?

After I report on this site about a call from this no (866 512 9567), they are calling me again and again almost every hour day and night.

Constantly calling.  Now that I have read this, I do not return any calls.

Received repeated calls from this #.  I never answer toll free calls as, I believe, they're usually bogus, scammers, or telemarketers.  Just annoying to keep getting them all hours.

They called my house number looking for my sister. We live in seperate towns, have different last names and haven't lived in the same home in over 15 years. The would only give me that is was a "personal matter" to give her a message and left a name and this number to return the call. Sounded like a debt collector to me. Irregardless, how did they know we were even related?!?

866-512-9567 is the number they tell you to call back. Number that called is a VOIP 720-262-8489 Kierra Bruno stated it was in response to an online business letter. Had to ask her to repeat 5 times before she took out what ever was in her mouth so I could understand her. She did make sure to spell her name. Would not give more info.

3613561468 calling from leaving message to call back at 866-512-9567!!  He don't know, but he's messing with the WRONG  people!!  White pages say they are a scam and fraud, the 866 belongs to a cell ! #1, if we have a debt to pay, we get notices by mail, not by calling ! # 2, why would a debt collector call from a local number wanting you to call back on another ??  #3, both phone numbers are connected to each other,  they make it sound like it's really a busy office that has you to wait for your call to be connected!!  Block em and turn em in !!

How do you turn them in? They just called and tried to get me to verify my daughter's birth date (she's 11!!) do they could tell me what they were calling about.. creepy!

Ignore them. Real process servers don't call in advance.

Assuming West Asset still controls the subject phone number, and you can clearly describe the harm done, you can have great fun extracting payback for illegal collection methods.

Consumer debt is not a criminal matter and collector claims are not typically sent straight to a judge. Posing as law enforcement should be a self-evident problem.

Lawful debt collection is a process, not an ambush. You are due a chance at each stage to raise a dispute. You have a limited right to debt validation on real paper. You have a right to honest answers and polite treatment. You have a right to limit or bar all phone calls. You also have a right to sue debt collectors who deny those other rights.

You've some dark history on your side when spanking West Asset. It's easy to show that the company has not learned better manners after a prominent FTC fine in 2011 and (mostly) losing its Education Department contract in 2015 Q1. Both actions were punishment for WAM's casual reliance on bullying and lies. It's the typical foul mix of high volume and low oversight seen across the industry.

They leave messages that they are due to serve papers and to contact them to verify address

They called giving this as a call back number from Marsha LLC.

Keeps leaving messages that this is Rebecca Russell an to call her or one of their representatives. Ummm I don't know you Rebecca Russell.

Because debt collectors do a skip trace report and will even know what kind of car you drive, where you have lived since you were born and so on.
