- JA replies to DIANE| 2 repliesSame with us (bogus $69 charge) and guess what? I had purchased a club from Medicus a couple of years ago. I'm sensing a culprit unless there's a strange coincidence involved. I've since been credited but I think it's time to get serious with them. Any advice on who would "police" those folks? I'd rather not lawyer up but considering what this could potentially lead to (total destruction of my credit, theft, etc.) I may have no alternative. Please advise!
- ross replies to dj22they charged my acct. $69.00 also, its a place called golf essentils, i didnt order a damn thing from these people,i got a confirmation number to refund the charge and im letting discover know about it as well.
- KC replies to JA| 1 replyMy husband bought a club from Medicus about 1-2 yrs ago and now we have this same $69 charge on our March 09 cc statement. I called the number on cc statement and we are supposed to be getting a credit from the automated system that answered. Not sure I want to wait and see if the credit really happens and I'm going to have my cc company look into this.
- KVSI checked with my credit card company and they said that MD Buyers Golf referrs back to Medicus. I bought one of their golf clubs (dual hinge driver) several years ago. My credit card company suggested that Medicus' database might have been hacked and cancelled my credit card as a precaution.
- Kent replies to KCMy credit card's fraud department confirmed that this billing came through a link on the Medicus site. Medicus said that I checked a box for "Golf Essentials" when ordering their club (I didn't unless it was hidden somewhere on the site.). They gave me a number that took me back to the automated help line for MD Buyers Golf.
Medicus' operator could not give me any other information and refused to allow me to talk to her supervisor. Bascially she said, "you checked the box it's your problem." Like the rest of you, I did not sign up for any additional products on the Medicus website. - Kev replies to JDDid you ever get the refund? I am waiting on one also.
- NP - Canada replies to DellaI had the exact charge of 69.00 on my credit card on Feb 07 2009. Same reference phone number. I've reported it to Fraud Response.
- JP3| 6 repliesNever heard of these guys. Charged me $39.95 under "BD GOLF" for something I've never ordered. No one answers when I call.

Got an automated answer saying they are open 8:00AM to 4:30PM central time.
I don't know what the charge is for.
I will be calling in the morning. - MJG replies to Jon| 1 replyContact your bank or credit card (whichever was charged) & file a fraudulent use claim. Have them block future attempts at a charge,
- Jon replies to Jon| 1 replyCalled back this morning and talked to Travis. He took my information and explained that I was charged $39.95 for the Kick-X golf balls that I ordered on a 30 day trial. After that trial period, I was charged. It's the fine print on the terms and conditions. Oh well....
- Jon replies to MJGYes, I did that. Read my reply though. It wasn't fraud.
- Tim replies to JP3Just got that charge today..... I saw something on golf network about golf balls about 3 months ago. 99 cents as a free trial but never received any balls. If you ask me, golf network should be responsible for their ads! Many people in these posts are complaining about the medicus clubs they ordered and I've been seeing their commercials on golf network for years.... they should be held accountable for airing commercials that are apparently ripping people off. Lawyer up if you'd like, but I'm sure we all agreed to cancel subscription at anytime. I just wanted what I wanted, was planning on cancelling, but I never got anything but a $43 dollar charge on my account..... bet I get some stupid magazine before I ever get any golfballs!!!
- Brian replies to Jonsame thing here.........kick x golf balls. supposed to be .99 cents and then they sign you up for some kind of golf ball membership where they ship you the balls every month and carge you recurringly. You can cancel anytime but the fine print says that after a month you will get charged 40 for the balls you just bought for .99. tricky outfit this is, shameful.
