- JamisonI had a call about 3 hours ago, no message
- Garth| 1 replyyea. I keep getting calls from this number. Several times per week. Every time the other end disconnects as soon as I answer. What's up with that?
- Miss SallyI got this call and then another one from a survey/another number seconds later.
- CAFJust got a call from this phone number and I said "Hello" "Hello", is anyone there? No answer, so I guess
if they call again just will not answer these robo calls. - BP - SeattleJust got a call from this number. Didn't answer b/c I don't recognize the number.
- Dave in Pasadena, CaliforniaJust got a call from this number. Didn't recognize. Didn't pick up. No message.
- KY MomJust got a call from this number and like everyone else, they hung up. When I redialed it I got a message saying if I wanted to be added to the Do Not Call List press 1, which of course I did not! I am already on a Do Not Call List and it does absolutely no good it seems these days. So, what I've been doing is blocking numbers such as these on my phone. I would suggest that others do not press anything, there is no telling what this actually is!

- SurphetteReceived a call like everyone here. I believe this number is attached to a political fund raising group looking for donations. I'm pretty sure this is the number of a group that called me a couple weeks ago wanting a $100.00 donation. I explained that my son had lost his job recently and that I was unable to donate due to trying to keep family members off the street. Being compationate they lowered their requested amount to $75.00; nice to know our political leaders understand the average Americans financial situation.
Anyway, by law, apparently political campaigns can ignore the "do not call" lists and and call whoever they want. And some people wonder what started the French Revolution. - noneyajust obtained a call from this number...no comments after a hello
- Jim WicksteadI got the call a couple of times. I called it back and got the "If you want to be added to the do not call list press 1" message. I have an iPhone and created a list of numbers that I don't want to be bothered with, and labeled it Do Not Answer. So next time they call, I won't bother. And when they call, the phone tells me "DO NOT ANSWER".
- Sunny GCalls multiple times per day/days per week. If you answer, no one is there and no one leaves a message if you let it go to voicemail
- Dorothy AIn the past 2 days I've gotten 5 calls from this number. I answered once and it was a recording telling me that there's a law suit with a large credit card corporation. It informs me that I might have a qualifying card, so please leave my name and card number and they'll check for me. Yeah right!!
- Caller: unknown
- StevenGot a hang up from them as well.
- Whiskeyman replies to GarthSame here. Several calls daily. No answer from caller. Wish I could meet whoever is behind this for a face to face discussion!
- MichelleI've received 5 calls from this number with no message. They call at all hours of the day and evening, I've yet to answer or call back though.
- Gabby JimWhen my voice mail picked up, they hung up. (Hee-hee-hee, possibly because of my trick, below. I’m just on this site to see who was calling, if I can.)
Reporting them anywhere won't stop the calls - but this trick has worked very well for me. Sometimes it takes two or three incoming calls before it "takes.” You have to warn your friends and business contacts not to be fooled, and you MUST let ALL unknown numbers go to voice mail. Find a telephone number that gives you that tone and message that says, "The number you have reached" (is out of service) or Google "Special Information Tones” for on-line sources. I found a good one at http://www.yourhomenow.com/sit.html). Record the tone and the first part of the message. Then put it in the front of your voice mail greeting, like this: VM answers, plays tones and “The number you have reached" (preferably the official telephone company voice)- - -(short pause- it's important) then, your own voice, "belongs to [your first name] - I'm unavailable right now, please leave your name and number and I'll call you back." - - the tones and phone company voice are the key - computerized dialers take your number off their list at the sound of the tones, and human telemarketers are often fooled into the same action before the phone company voice ends. I use the sound recorder that comes with Windows (usually at C:\WINDOWS\system32\sndrec32.exe) and a cheap plug in microphone and external speakers to make the recording and then play it into my Voice Mail greeting.
Sadly, there IS no EFFECTIVE legal action you can take - but this is the way it is SUPPOSED to work....
You file a formal complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (http://www.ftc.gov/)- the link to the "Do Not Call" registry complaint is https://www.donotcall.gov/register/reg.aspx. Then they file your complaint in a database where it sits unheeded until - - - some OTHER law enforcement agency asks them for their data.
The FTC / Do Not Call Registry is a paper tiger with no real teeth. Nothing will be done unless the number becomes an annoyance to one of THEM, or to some congressman or other hi-power individual with "pull". You have to track the offender down, then get some law enforcement agency to sue them in court (you can't do it yourself!). What needs to be done is pester our congress critters until they change the law so that private citizens can sue these people in FEDERAL court. And, of course, unless the court bankrupts and jails them, they will simply change their name and phone number and go back to business as usual.
- - - See below on the "fix" for this problem.
Also, some rascals USE the "Do-Not-Call Registry" as a SOURCE of numbers to call! This is especially true of so-called charities (and those that PRETEND to be), politicians, and so-called "survey" folks (or, again, those that pretend to be). The law has no teeth! Your complaints just go into an obscure database and molder. Think of the final disposition of "The Ark of the Covenant" in Indiana Jones and Raiders of the Lost Ark.
This alternate trick used to work, but puts you on the other side of the law with some small risk. I used to have a computer program (that died as a result of Y2K) that I could set up to just call and call and call - over and over non-stop, until someone answered, they it sent fax tones, hung up and started over. I programmed it to call the very number they were calling ME from - tied up their line and reversed the tables. (With the advent of Magic Jack and Vonnage, no long distance charges!) Now THEY had to take ME to court - fat chance, because they KNOW I will counter sue "on the spot".
One last ray of hope - SOME states have their OWN Do-No-Call registry - if yours is one, get on that list - those states that have teeth in their laws will "Nail" those *&$% (bleep)- Caller: unknown
- D.T.After several days of multiple calls from this number despite my having called it back and said Yes to the "Do you want to be added to our No-Call List?"message, today we got a recorded message for Mitt Romney from that number.

- CharlieGot a call form 866-527-6044 said hello but no answer , possibly I think it may be a machine trying to detect if people answer then later they send a telemarketer or political donation marker to make a real call to you.
