Called telling me that they were getting information that my computer was sending out viruses, that it was infected. They wanted information to help fix my computer. My computer was not plugged in nor do I have internet. You could hear in the background several people talking to others saying same thing. The man couldn't speak English well and was very persistent. When I told him my computer was not on internet he continued to ask questions saying it was infected and needed fixing. I hung up.

Just called stating that my computer was downloading malware and  he was a Microsoft technician named Tony.  He also represented himself as Time Warner, told me to call him back and ask for Tony so he could fix my computer, extremely persistent little boogar.  Asking me if I knew how to obtain an IP address, I was going to go along with him for a moment since I have only been providing computer support since 1995.    I immediately hung up the phone and contacted Time Warner (big help) thought they might want to know this company was presenting themselves as a Time Warner entity, did not seem to be important so once again I hung up the phone.  If you search the number you get a company called remotesupport.org.  Do not provide them any information.
