scam, claimed to be citi asking for my info, i felt suspicious and started to give him all false info, then he kept saying thank you and went on to next question. If youre a bank, you would know the answers were wrong.

Citi confirmed that this was real and knew my reference number before I even provided it.

This is a scam..I called citi and they confirmed no such notes have been made to my account

Envelope is plain, letter is black and white, and logo is so pixelated. Although it has right name and account ending number, my first impression was it’s a scam. Went to a local branch and they told me it’s scam and they would never ask customer to call someone specific

i've been getting calls from this number pretending to be a citigroup asking me to verify information. i called my bank and they state they have not tried to call me. number that calls 208 822 2207. leaves a voicemail with a reference number asking me to call 866 537 0871

I just got the same call from this number. Sounded very suspisciou.

Received call from 866-537-0871 today (3/9/2022) claiming to be Citibank. Called Citibank directly, they checked our records which showed legit call yesterday (true) but nothing today. Husband also received scam Citibank call today from same number.

when I called Citibank they said yes to call the number, the rep was from India and I did not trust that I was told to call and she was not able to help me. It seems to me that they have hacked Citibank accounts and  memo people’s accounts to call  them. I had received a text a day prior with the same information account activity reference from a 213 area code.

Asked for last 4 of social and all signers on the account

They called me last week and today asking my account number.  When I said I will not give that info they hang up.
