what did they say to you

I keep getting messages saying they are going to serve me with a warrant at my employer.  They keep calling my job and I am tired of it!  This time it was Christy Leaks or something that was threatening me.

I am getting the same calls at my job saying they will be in my area in the next few days and unless I settle "this matter", they will be forced to serve me with the documents of the complaint at my workplace. I have had experience with debt collectors and luckily for us, there have been a lot of new laws in place to protect consumers (us). For one, this is considered a threat and if you actually speak with them and tell them not to call or visit your workplace, THEY can be sued if the harrassment continues.

Bottomline, if it were a valid "complaint", they would have to identify the actual lawyer they represent and you can get that lawyers office address and phone number to have your lawyer (even if you dont have one, let them know there is someone legally representing you...you can always hire one or get government assistance) to contact the law office where the "complaint" has been filed. You will notice if you call back, the answering system only says "legal department" and does not identify the company or "law office" so it's most likely a scam or a debt collector that does not have rights to harrass you like this.

My suggestion would be not to provide them with any information or even confirm your identity, just get the company info and tell them your lawyer will contact them.

This is a bottom feeding collector....I have gotten calls from 5 different "process servers" over the last 8 mths..not one has shown up...also..I worked or a court reporting firm that employed process servers..they dont want to contact you and warn you they are coming..then you can hide easier...they never give their name or what law firm they work for...its a load of crap and they are scammers....I wouldnt give them any info....this is how people get ripped off and their information put out to the public...
