I received four messages over the course of three consecutive days from a man who identified himself as "John Sanders." The calls all originated from an unknown number and the man threatened that I was "on his schedule to be served legal documents" on such a date and that I needed to be available with my identification on the date of service. What a joke! That's like the police calling ahead to inform you that they'd be coming to raid your home! It doesn't work like that- and those are totally illegal practices to attempt to collect a debt. I think this may be a payday loan scam. My ex- who I have not been with for over six years as well as my sister also received these four messages about me repeatedly for those same three days instructing them to have me call 800-562-8667. I have yet to call as I do not trust that this is a legit collection agency based on the threatening tone of the calls and the fact that they randomly contacted my ex. I also Googled the name John Sanders and phrases that the man used such as my quote above and found others describing very similar circumstances using the same name and/or slight variations of it and citing different call back numbers. Has anyone else received this as a call back number who can potentially confirm the identity of the caller?

I meant *(866) 552-8667, not (800)...

I just received this same call today! He even called my husbands phone looking for me. I don't understand how he got both numbers.
