harassing phone calls

This is a fake company trying to rip you off. Do not give them information, none even your name, ever. They are not a true licensed collection agency they are a fake back room rip off company that wants to take your money. They use fake names and fake account numbers. I call them, i dont give a [***].

Some guy named (fake) Jim DeLucca making threats. They are BS threats.

Just got a voicemail from the same guy, accusing me of fraud!

Police do not call to tell you that you are being investigated for fraud. They come and ask you questions.
Process servers really do not call to warn you that they are coming.

They are not a real company! They called my best friend and I called back and lied and said I was his wife.  All I gave them was his name and they told me the last 4 of his social, address, email, and etc.  A REAL debt collector will not discuss a debt with anyone but the actual account holder and they will not give you their personal information if they are not sure of who the caller is. I spoke with Mike and he gave me this info:

This not a valid address...NO SUCH THING! So I called back to speak with Mike at ext:104.  The woman told me Mr. Williams left the office. So I told her that I would like to pay the debt "my husband" owes if it is valid but the address to their company is not real.  She than told be all the same stuff that Mike did earlier (ignoring my question). I told her I spoke with my attorney and explained that legally in order to collect a debt they are able to send me a correspondace in WRITING! She offered email...I said no!! Written that way the notice can be traced back to a valid location.  She told me to hold on and she will get their attorney.  She came back and said, "I didnt know until now....but MR. Williams sent your profile back to Shoreline LLC (BMG Shoreline) and they will send correspondence'.  I said I wanted to still talk to the attorney but she said they are ALL out on lunch!

She then accused me of playing games.  So I asked her...her name and she said it was irrelavant and continued telling me the same information.  

No debt collecter is this unprofessional.  They ususally work with you and give you complete valid information so that you can really pay the debt. Some might have attitudes but they have no problem giving you the information you need to pay them.

There are exceptions to that rule, and I believe debt discussion with a spouse is not considered a FDCPA violation. It would be hard to claim third party disclosure in your case since you'd misidentified yourself to extract information. However, the general jerking around and reluctance to communicate on paper speaks loudly to fraudulent business practice.

They call claiming to be a fraud agency   it is fake do not call or answer.   They call and caller ID Says Private Caller   be careful they are a rip off agency

Absolutely! I'm not so focused that they gave me his info....I'm focused on the false business information they gave me and the run around.  Its a huge concern that this company gave me an address that does not exist and would not send me any documentation via mail! RED FLAGS!

No Silly! I'm giving my story because hopefully it will help others.  I made the choice to lie about being his wife to collect debt and company information.  Pay attention to the more important facts....THIS COMPANY MADE UP A MAILING ADDRESS AND REFUSED TO SEND ANY TYPE OF DOCUMENTATION VIA MAIL.  They do not know that I'm not his wife, if so they would not have been so comfortable to provide his personal info (hopefully)! So there would be no reason for them to give me a false address or refuse to send me something in the mail.  Several times I mentioned to them very politely that I would like to take care of the debt my husband is responsible for.  In order to do that....I just need to validate your company,  I don't want to just give bank account or credit card #'s to anyone who calls and says they are a collector!  Even when saying that they refused to assist and told me my case has already been sent to someone else, when I had only spoke with the original rep 30 mins prior! I did not dispute anything I just wanted to check to see if the address was valid and I would call back to pay!  So there was no reason for them to send anything back to anyone or not be able to assist. That's all! I'm not upset at all, I was just helping a friend and hoped maybe this would others who believe they might be being scammed!

if u wanna help other talk them into PAYING the money they owe...there you go smarty pants...
