Caller id had this number and "ALLTEL DA"... of course didn't answer and they don't appear to have left a message when voice mail picked up.

I have only received one call from this number and it left a message on my machine. I only got the last part of it asking to press 2 if I wished to discontinue the service. I just called the number back and it was for Comcast Directory of Assistance.

It was a recorded message talking about a fat-loss consumer survey. I hung up.

Caller ID showed ALTELL DA ... just another of those annoying phoney calls.   I've read most of the postings here and have to say that anyone who feels compelled to give out their bank information to ANYONE in a phone call needs to return to the planet Earth immediately and realize that no valid institution would call to verify informatoin, EVER.   Don't answer numbers you don't know .. expecially any 555 exchange.

They have called a few times. I don't pick up, and they hang up before the answering machine. Somehow they are getting past the 'do not call ' list.

nowadays i dont pick up unknown callers. i google them first.

I just got the same breathing thing..someone is there,but when i say hello nothing but breathing.

Hung up on answering machine as I would not pick up the call.

Seriously - called my cell phone with some Fat Loss survey recorded message. UGH!  I just hung up.

Got a call from 866-555-1212, didn't answer because I was on the phone.  When I tries to call back, a robo message stated the number could not be called from my area.  Who are these clowns?

I received a call from this number on 7/06/10 at 9:26 am according to my phone.  I didn't pick.  Tried to call back and it was busy.

They called this morning with "great news for a new diet pill..." Then wanted me to press 1 to order or 9 to opt out, I didnt get a chance to do either, when it said, "thank you for calling, goodbye"
I am om the do not call list, this is crazy!

Like others, I did not pick up as I did not recognize the number and googled it while the phone was ringing. My husband works at night and I am furious that idiots get away with this. I think we may dump our land line and give up the phone number we have had for 20 years. I have fancy cordless phones from Costco that used to let me block numbers but the block feature is now all full and won't accept any more.

I did not answer as I don't know them and am extremely alarmed after reading on your website about a person who was scammed by them.

A recording conducting a survey about weight loss products. Said I would receive a free sample for completing the survey. I hung up.

This isn't a real number, anybody can enter whatever number they want to appear on your caller id.  For every new service that comes out there is something else that comes out to get around it.

me too!  I got this same message when trying to call back

I didn't recognize the number, so I didn't answer it.  When I checked my voice mail after they called I got a recording saying "Thank you for calling."  I'll block the number - they have called several times.

I keep getting phone calls from 1-866-555-1212.  When I try to call them back, I get busy signals.
