They keep calling for someone who is not connected with my phone number in any way.  They try to intimidate by saying that there is an audit check on my social security number.

It's always a recorded message saying it's from Southwest Recover Services and that they're collecting on a bill and to call them.  I owe no bills, and if I did they should send a written bill and have a real person call.  This time the number left to call was 866-558-3328 ext 114.  Previously, the number left was not toll-free and that number was 214-387-8068.  I finally started keeping track of the calls and the date I started doing that was July 7/26/07.  Knowing I don't owe any bill, I see no reason to put my nickel into a call, when all they need to do is send a bill or have a real person call.

An old roommate used my landline as his phone number.  He has not been at my address for over 5 years and I've had no contact with him in over a year.  I left a v.m. msg. for the representative at the phone number (extension 113) given, demanding that they stop calling my telephone number.  The same person called again, today, leaving the same message as before.  Someone from this company has been calling for the last 4 years (they used to use a non-toll free number for return calls).  I've contacted them once.  I don't feel I should have to contact them again.

Collection agency, left a message at my company for a former employee, saying it's regarding 'pending litigation.'  Guy said his name was Jim Moore, ext. 113.

They called today saying they needed to talk to either "someone's name" or "my husband's first name" about some kind of litigation.   I said that "__" is my husband's 1st name, but he goes by his middle name.  They said "I have his birthday listed as ----"  That is my husband's birthday.  I told them I had never heard of the other person.  They said "sorry for the inconvenience"  and hung up.

That's the name the guy used that called me today.  What scares me is that he knew the month and year of my husband's birthday.  And, our phone number isn't even listed in our names.

We have received a message on our machine everyday for the past week from this number and the guys name is Jim Moore at x113.  My husband and I have no outstanding bills and the message does not even say who they are calling about.  Ive looked up the company and have not recieved any notices from South West Recovery Services either.

Jim Moore called my number looking for someone that I had not seen or heard from in 15 years.  I asked what company he was from and how he got my number.  All he told me was Southwest Recovery and that the number was on a lease.  The number is not in my name and was never on a lease anywhere.  I looked up the company, but could not find it as listed.  I looked up Jim Moore in Dallas and it comes up with an attorney located on Oak Lawn.

"Hi this is Mr. Taylor with Southwestern area services and I'm calling today regarding a file with is come across my desk. It is extremely urgent that you return my call today. You can reach me back at my direct number which is 214-628-8532. Again I saw with your name on it has come across my desk and it is extremely important you return my call. My direct number is 214-628-8532. Please call me. It's extremely important I hear from you today "

Scam!  I work in the HR dept for my company and had a voicemail from Mike Moore telling me I needed to contact him immediately regarding an in office worker's compensation case number "XXX".  Thought something was right since he did not leave the company name and typically we only deal with the insurance company on those claims.  So I looked through our companies WC claim number snad none of them matched the number he referred to.  I called the number back to find out it was Southwest Recovery Services and immediately hung up.  These bill collectors are out of control.

Got that same message except for instead of "extremely urgent," he used "imperative" and tried to use an intimidating voice.

I received a call from these people stating that this call was regarding a bad check and that I should call immediately or at the very latest 10:00 the next morning or they were going to forward my file to the District Attorney's office in my state for criminal prosecution and would use the message they were leaving as evidence.  Then at the end of the message had the nerve to wish me well and good luck.  The funny thing about this is, I don't have checkbook. When I opened my bank account I told them I didn’t want any checks.  I use my debit card for EVERYTHING!

Someone from 214-628-8532 keeps calling and leaving a message that it is imperative that I call as an urgent matter has crossed his desk.  He does not even name the person he is looking for.  I have not and will not call back. Would like them to stop calling as this is about the 5th call I have had in a month.  The guy that calls states he is Jim Moore and to call him back at 866-558-3328 x2223.  Is this a scam or what?

They call my work phone.  I'm glad this website exists.  They say they are with legal services making it sound like your companies legal dept the verify info.  Thanks for putting this info out here.  I will gladly delete and disregard this message.  Jim Moore now claims to be at ext 2223.  Again thanks for posting this info so I do not let others wrongly intimidate me.

Today we got the same call from "stephen" talking about a bill, but we don't have a bill outstanding.  He left the extention of 2210

I have had to deal with the jerks before.  My husband bought a car from a now defunct dealership in 2001.  In 2002 he had warranty work done and we were allowed a rent car to use.  They swipe your credit card but dont charge.  Fast Foward to 2006 and I get a letter from these people saying I owe money for the rental since Buz Post didnt pay the bill (They went bankrupt in 2005).  So I go to what is left of Buz Post and the manager says sorry and gives me $60.  Evidently, Southwest Recovery had been harrassing many Buz Post customers that had rentals.  So we pay the bill.  Turns out they reported the debt AFTER we paid.  Hubby went through hoops to have it removed.  Last year they reported it AGAIN!  We have already notified the Texas Atty General about these jerks!

I got the same call today this is actually the second time the first time was about 2 months ago calling my work and leavign a message stating that it was in regards to a bad check... I've never wrote a check in my life I only use my debit card as well.

Yeah I got a call from Rick William at Southwest Recoveries about a bad check to a pay day loan..   when i asked him when was the loan taken..  he said..  umm  2005..   I asked when in 2005..  he said he didn't know.  I said well send me information about the debt, and when i look into it, if i do owe, I will pay.  He said he did send me notices to the address on file (i never lived at that address in 2005) and i have since moved from that address.  When I told him i don't live there anymore, he said that doesnt matter we sent notices, and we are not going to send them again.  I kept pressing for an exact date when the loan was taken out and he hung up on me..  I called the number back and spoke with another person, taylor boyd, he listened..  and was less aggressive..   he said he would send out a letter of the debt, and when i asked him for the date of the loan, he said 11/8/2007..  when i called them out on the different dates, he said that rick was not looking at the right spot..   so i said ok..  and that it would have been difficult for me to get a pay day loan in nov 2007, since i did not have direct deposit not an open back account at the time..    so then of course he said..  well the date could have been typed incorrect..  in the file..   hahah..  I called my bank to get a statement sent to me for the whole year of 2007..  and I am just waiting for them to call me back...

The same thing happened in march of this past year " a legit company"  called about the same issuse..  different pay day loan..  and when i sent them the info..  they stopped calling..  no apology no nothing..

I just posted this on whocalled.us site also because I usually check that site first. This is a new one! I didn't recognize the number so I just didn't answer. Momma said, never talk to strangers! LOL Jim Moore, said there's an affidavit complaint filed against me, but never said who me was(in other words, he never mentioned the party he wanted to speak with)! Asked me to call him 8665583328 ext 2223. I didn't find anything on this site with the 866 number but I did find plenty on 800notes. THIS IS A SCAM AND JUST TRYING TO INTIMIDATE!!!! HE'S SMALL TIME AND MAN WOULD I LIKE TO KICK THE CRAP OUT OF HIM! JUST BECAUSE! lol I will also report them to the donotcall.....

I receive numerpous phone calls from Jim Moore at 866-558-3328 ext 2223.  He mumbles something about me having something in his office concerning a case.  He never uses my name or any information about this "case".  The caller ID always presents him as unknown caller.  That is because he is unknown.  He does not give a Company name.  Basically he wants me to call him back and he has such urgency in his voice I truly have to laugh.  Forget you Jim Moore.
