- Yvonne replies to Judith| 1 replyMy 78 year old mom received the same phone call from 1-866-575-3459 "Preferred Business for Seniors" (Fraud Alert) and when I tried to call them back I got a "third party answering service" she tells me they don't take phone calls you have to leave a message and she asked who did I want to speak to and I told her they called me and left this phone number. I filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission.
- Deputy Sheriff-MinnesotaI just took a complaint regarding this number and that it was somebody calling an elder couple in regards to updating thier medicare info and then asking for personal banking info. Please do not give this out to anybody. This matter is currently under investigation.

- upset callerMy mother also recieved a phone call from this company. the sales man lead her to believe that this was for medicare (something she already has) she gave the info they asked for and then they gave this #1-866-575-3459. So i called it for her and spoke to the rudest person ever. the lady was yelling at me and not letting me finish a sentence. I then ask to talk with a manager or any one else, and she refused to connect me with any one. The Women on the phone finally canceled the service and them hung up the phone on my mother. So i called back to get a cancelation number and once again she was very rude. Then about an hour later this sales man calls my mother back and gives her a hard time on the phone and finally after my father got on the the sales man finially cancel the order. this means that the person i spoke to did not cancel the service and gave me a bad confirmation number. I still am unable to speak to a manager with this company. I do recommend any one using this service. i really hope this places gets shut down before any one else gets scammed!!! Hang up the phone and dont give out any personall information to anyone.

- Scam'd in GAPerson claimed with Medicare and needed to update info including checking account. Confirmed all information regarding address. Gave all info and they said to watch for another card to come in mail. This was a fast talking broken English lady. She transferred me to another man who confirmed all my information and then gave 866-575-3459 to call back with any questions. They advised I would receive another card in the mail and keep it with the original one.
Became suspicious after I hung up and called number back and got voice mail - said full -not accepting messages and gave an error code.
Went to bank immediately and closed checking account.- Caller: Preferred Benefits
- My Mom scammed tooMy Mom received a call from same people this afternoon. Unfortunately, she gave them the info they requested. She realized she'd probably been scammed and called her bank. I think we're going to close her account. I've tried to call them but can't get through. I've tried to do reverse lookups but can find nothing.

- another concerned daughterMy mom just called to tell me she received a phone call from this number today. Her experience is pretty identical to the above testimonies. She is not someone who would normally "fall" for things like this. But she did. She states the scammer sounded very convincing. She is going to her bank tomorrow to close her account and report them to the BBB.

- Ellie-AZI also got a call from a TEXAS number (on the caller ID) - because I ordinarily don't even listen to these people. Being that he had a lot of info. on me and saying he was calling about verifying for the government my Medicare information I fell for it. When I talked to my husband about it we went right to the bank and closed our account. It is definitely a fraud.
- Leslie-CAMy dad gave out his bank info to Preferred Benefits while my mom was out of the house. Fortunately, my mom came in as this call was transpiring. She got on the phone and told them she didn't want what they were selling. They hung up on her! We called back and got the "answering service" who wouldn't let us talk to the salesperson. We immediately closed the checking acct that was compromised. I checked with my parents' health care providers who said nothing had changed on their Medicare Part D coverage. Am waiting for a "packet" to come so I can then cancel the unnecessary "supplemental pharmaceutical policy" my father purchased for $399! These people prey on older people.
- anonymous replies to YvonneFolks, when a STRANGER calls you, do NOT give out ANY info (SSN, DOB, credit/debit card, time of day, whatever).
DEMAND a company name and a call-back phone number.
Check out the company thoroughly, then decide whether it's safe to transact business with the company. - Kathy - MDThe same th ing happened to my mother who lives in WV today. An extremely rude man with broken English said he was with preferred benefits and told her her midi are coverage was going to be cut if she did not update her information and bank account information. After giving the mean person her info a rude lady named Angela got on the phone and told my mom she (my mom) was rude for asking questions. She called me and gave me the customer service number 866-575-3459 and I called 6 times after 5 times of eternal hold a man answered and said customer service. When I asked why they had called her he said she bought vision dental and health insurance from them. I said she did not she has insurance from an employer and he is to cancel. He would not until her card arrived. Called the bank to change, called the police to file a report, called the attorney generals office and filed a Medicare fraud alert with the inspe for general of health and human services. Told the guy I was gonna do it and he said are you trying to scare me and I said no I'm shuttingng you down for fraud! My mom is on her 5th cancer and taking a chemo pill. Dad died a year ago and the emotional trauma they put my poor mother through is enough to make me take this all the way to court if I need to! These poor senior citizens do not need to be threatened by bullies!!! They picked the wrong daughter to mess with!!!
