The call has come more than once, but they hang up before talking.

I turn it on and off.  Not interested in whatever they want.

Call came into my grandmother's line - man with a Jamaican accent.   She has been getting scammed by many people from this region - I have a call blocker on there, but they are now calling with US numbers.

They call and hang up using several numbers. These numbers are not registered in the U.S. They are using an 800 system that enables them to avoid tracking. Do not answer if they call. They are trying to access your phone info.  

Well here we go again, this number has been silent for two weeks, now all of the scammers have come back out of the woodwork. These scammers must think we are stupid. I hope they get scammed also.
I get great joy in not answering.

that is a legitimate company who is contacting current customers. know your research before frightening these poor people

You forgot to tell us the name of the "legitimate" company.
You also forgot to tell us their address ... or website ... or ANYTHING that could "prove" they were legitimate.

So, in the absence of such proof, and considering all the previous complaints, we might assume:
1) You are a shill for that company
2) The company's identification remains unknown

Slim, all you have to do is answer the phone. I am a customer of Aloecure and have been so for years. I was really just trying to help. If you need the info I looked it up. Aloecure.com is the website, naturally. The telephone number is displayed when they call as most companies have several lines. The number I was given to call back was 1-866-575-9211. Again, its no scam and if you use the aloe vera extract, they are authorized distributors that can get the price lower on the product.

Incorrect.
I am registered on the DNC list, and have never done business with that company.
Therefore, if they call me, it is an unsolicited, and reportable call.
Also note that the website you mentioned publishes a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT phone number than the one shown in this thread.
None of their registered resale sites use that phone number.
If you bothered to read the previous complaints, the posters did NOT mention the company for which you are shilling, so it is interesting that you are the sole claimant that alocure is using that phone number.
In addition to nearly a year's worth of complaints in this forum, there are even older complaints about that number on other phone reporting sites.

Conclusion:
It is doubtful that alocure is using that phone number.

I honestly cannot stand someone who over thinks simple things... First of all, I was just as upset about the calls as everyone here. I too am registered on the Do Not Call List, sir. Anyway.... I answered the damn phone!!! Thats how I found out the website and phone number. In the words of my grand-daughter, "like duh". And another thing, maybe someone had your number before you, used the product and they are unaware..... But people like you are so focused on the leaves you cant see the forest. I do not need a lecture, dissertation, etc about your situation. I really hope one day you consider that its easier to answer and politely say "not interested" than to research irrelevant information and then scare others who may be actually using the product!

My conclusion:

All it takes is for you to call them yourselves if you want to prove me wrong, since you think you are so right.

It is a violation of the DNCR to contact people that you have never done business with. So you may as well give up changing names, cause you aren't convincing anyone.

How can these people customers if they never did business with you?

Did you know most people can not stand someone who SHOUTS when responding??  Did you know it is not kind or professional to attempt to insult a poster on this website?  Did you know it is pathetic to copy the name of a registered user??  Many regulars on this website are focused on helping others be they people or giraffes!!  I'll see your DUH and raise it to a D'oh.  Since you are so unhappy here, why not start your own website??  You could ban yourself!

It looks like the REAL Slim researches before commenting.  The copycat Slim likes to rant & attack others.

If you are registered on the DNC list and read what you were signing when you signed it,  you would have known that these people are violating it.   Since you were so upset over them calling you,  did you report the violation to the DNC Registry?   You should.   If you didn't,  you become part of the problem for those who violate it.   If one answers politely,  to being unlawfully telemarketed,   as you say they should,    aren't they empowering all violators to do the same?   Were it a legitimate and lawful Telemarketing call,  then I have no problem.  I would politely ask not to be called and were they a legitimate and lawful telemarketer,   they would comply.   This irrelevant information that you speak of has saved many people from getting the shirts taken off their back by Telephone scammers and DNC violators.   You have come to your conclusions via the wrong way to be discrediting Slim.  Just one of his posts are worth many like yours.

Whoa!   My previous post was directed at  "Charlotte"   and not Slim.    I replied to her  Fake    "Slim" to Slim post.

The real Slim is known for being a wealth of information.

The difference between you there "Charlotte" and the real Slim is that he has an education and can reason and think logically.  This is something you have never been able to do as evidenced by your writing.  There was no over thinking in this matter, it was simply stating facts, facts that can be proven on our part as opposed to the alleged facts that you present.  Why should we have to answer the phone?  Just because someone like you calls us to sell us something we have no interest in and is probably overpriced and worthless?  If I want aloe, it is a simple matter to grow my own, so why do I need some telemarketer to call me up to sell what I can get for the small price of buying a plant in a flower shop?
"BUT PEOPLE LIKE YOU ARE SO FOCUSED ON THE LEAVES YOU CANT SEE THE FOREST"  I believe the actual quote is that you can not see the forest for the trees, but with your limited intellect, my guess is that that was the best you could come up with.  Close, but no banana as the saying goes.  By ignoring the DNC this company is violating the law.  When you break the law that makes you a criminal.  Why would I want to call, talk, or do business with a criminal?

Did you know that plagiarizing is a crime also?  That means that when someone uses something that belongs to someone else such as an idea, or in this case a screen name, and puts it in writing and does not give credit to the original, they then become a criminal also.
