Hello, they called but hung up on my answering machine.

they keep calling and just say to call back

Changed phone companies for elderly parent and given a "new" phone number.  Calls from 866-577-9647 have been received at mother's new number several times a week since the change.  Her home answer machine has been set up with her name (first and last), the date of phone number change, and a message advising all callers trying to reach someone else that they  are to cease calling.  From 866-577-9647 they have been calling now for almost 8 months, have been called back and advised of the number reassignment, and advised that we don't know the person who formerly had the number.  They have been asked to remove the number from their call rotation.  2 weeks later they are still calling elderly mother leaving automated messages for the unknown "Clara".  Tonight we demanded compliance with the law, to be given name and information about company... only information given - name of company A.R.M. then probable debt collector hung up.

They left a message on my number and said: "This is not commercial this is importing call....."

I constantly get calls from this same number  866 577-9647 asking for someone I don't know. I have told them on many occasions that I do not know this person and that this is a cell phone number they are calling and to stop calling me! But they persist anyway. Now instead of a person I'm getting an automated call asking me to wait on the line if I'm not the person they are looking for. Something needs to be done about this! Any solutions?

Called me on my new, secondary cell, only 3 months old, and only 5 people know the number. I added them to my Phonebook, and set the ring type to "silent".

They called and left a message for Davey stating it was not a telemarketing call and to call this 866-577-9647 number back. Well I'm far from a guy.

Calling for Mary, however no one by that name lives at our house.  Called the company back to tell them Mary did not live here, they just hung up on me without even asking what my number was.

I got a call from then today as well... does anyone know who the [***] it is?? I registered my cell on the no-call list and it said that they weren't a telemarketing thing.. when i accepted.. no one came on...

I just returned a call to their automated "call center".  It asked if I was making a payment to enter "1".  I did.  If making a payment by checking press "1". I did.  "Enter my account number" (which I don't have) I just entered random numbers.  "Enter my routing numbers" - bogus numbers.  "Enter my checking acct number" - made up more numbers.  "Enter my payment amount" - $10.00.  "Enter my payment date" - 12/14/08.  It repeated everything to me and verified my payment amount and date and gave me a confirmation number!!!  How crooked is that???  They call us repeatedly and we don't know why or how to make them stop!

If you look up the report with the BBB, they are said to be out of buisness and are being charged with extortion. My advice, file a complaint at BBB.org using the phone number listed above.

1-866-577-9647 is Wachovia Bank....

They're calling me multiple times per day looking for someone I don't know.  An automated machine asks me to tell it if I'm not the person they're looking for by pressing 3.  When I do this, it tells me they would like to speak with me so they can remove me from their call list, and asks me to please hold.  It leaves me on hold for about 20 minutes, then tells me that no operators are available and hangs up on me.
