- Hate SpammersConstantly getting junk faxes from "Corporate Travel Department". When I called to ask the name of the company they put me on hold and didn't pick up again. Called again and was told that they are called: "Coral Bay Travel" and located in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Total criminals.
- Caller: Coral Bay Travle
- Call type: Fax
- SpammedJust received fax from this number, did a little searching on "Coral Bay Travel" that Hate Spammers identified. Here's what it is, straight from the "host" website:
YTB Marketing was created to market travel agency websites to RTAs in a referral marketing program that incentivizes IMRs to sell on-line travel agencies. RTAs are also independent contractors and are provided with training materials and onsite training at various locations throughout the United States. YTB Marketing charges an initial license feel of $449.95 plus $49.95 per month, on a month-to-month basis, for RTAs to own and operate an online travel site, and YTB Travel (as defined below) can also earn additional transactional compensation from travel purchased off each website.
YTB Travel Network, Inc. (and its subsidiaries)
YTB Travel Network, Inc. (together with its subsidiary YTB Travel Network of Illinois, Inc., collectively, “YTB Travel”) business is comprised of arrangements to sell airline tickets, cruise packages and other services, plus travel sales, from the approximately 120,948 (as of 9/30/07) RTAs’ web sites which it hosts. YTB Travel handles travel processing, document distribution and travel commission payments, including tracking transactions for each of the sites. RTAs are schooled through travel training courses. This training is accomplished through a combination of company conference calls, e-training modules and hands-on certification seminars.- Call type: Fax
- Jim R.| 3 repliesBased on the information on YTB posted above, I did some further research on the company and found this phone number for the corporate YTB office: 618-655-9477. I then called that number and found that they are the "hub" if you will for all of the independent contractors. Essentially they are a company that wants independent contractors to sell their product for them and they then pay "you" or "me", their independent contractors, a finders fee.
Their corporate fax number is 618-659-9675. I post their fax number because I have something that I want everyone that reads this to do..
#1. From this day forward keep all junk faxes that you get. Just put them in a folder.
#2. On the face of each junk fax you receive-with a black magic marker write "REMOVE MY FAX NUMBER (***-***-****) PERMANENTLY FROM YOUR RECORDS".
#3. When you get a valid fax number on the next junk fax you receive, or you get that number from people like me-fax your entire junk fax folder to them!
I have a folder that currently has over 50 junk faxes. I would guess about 10 are from this YTB company. I will fax EVERY single page multiple times throughout the day.
Hopefully at some point, they will get the message and get my number out of their outbound calling list.
Also, please take a moment and report each junk fax you get to the FCC. This page has good information:

Eventually somebody, somewhere, will do something about this. For now, do what you can and burn up all of their toner and fax paper.
And if you illegal scammers are reading this-I hope your cell mate is a large african-american male with a penchant for anal activity.- Caller: YTB Travel
- Pete SuttersThese criminals are illegal serial spammers that will scam you in some way if you contact them. Avoid them like the plague that they are. Hopefully some day soon they will be thrown in prison where they belong.

- Valerie replies to Jim R.Thank you so much for the information -- I have called that 866 number to be removed 100 times. I will fax them over and over and hassel them as much as they have hasseled me! Thank you Thank you!
- Valerie replies to Jim R.I just tried the fax number you gave me and it told me that it was out of service. I called and got a new number 618-659-9591. Hope this helps.
- Valerie| 1 replyNew fax number to YTB 618-659-9591
- ESDThere's no reason to believe they will actually remove you. Sending junk faxes is illegal no matter what. You can actually sue them for $500+/incident if you can track them down.
See http://www.junkbusters.com/fax.html - Kurt| 1 replyReceived a fax from this number with Corporate Travel Department list as name. Fax number was blocked and list unavailable. I have several of these type faxes with same list name but with different phone numbers. I have used their fax removal numbers a dozen or so times dating back to 2005. I finally decided to just call them. I told them for every fax I recieve from them, I'm calling you 5 times to waste your time and money that it cost you for the toll free call to make up for the cost of my ink and paper. By the fifth call they where not very happy with me.
- Caller: Unknokn
- Fed up in Chicago replies to ValerieI have been faxing all Corporate Travel flyers back with the new fax number you gave out. I hope they run out of ink! Thanks, Fed up in Chicago
- frustrated replies to KurtThe above is a great idea. I started calling and telling them that for every junk fax I get, I will call 10 times and this is number __. Can you imagine if everyone did that?
Reporting every fax to the FCC is very important, too, though I wonder how effective it will be. Most federal agencies are understaffed...
https://esupport.fcc.gov/form1088/consumer.do - Mary replies to Jim R.Thank You, Thank You so very much!! These idiots have been faxing me for over a year and, of course pay no attention to my requests to remove me from their fax list.
- junkfaxersdie| 1 replyCall their number and the "remove number" from a payphone. IT COST THEM 50 cents for each call. Payphone owners get money for each toll free call made from their phone. While your there, call several times!!!!!!
- Laura replies to junkfaxersdieWhy don't you address fax to the owner of the company?
- LTI get these faxes from many different numbers. Is there any legitamacy to these offers? Just wondering, but I'm also tired of seeing them. I just toss them in my recycle bin.
