    Called once, left voicemail saying my Cablevision service had been restored. Bad storm blew in and knocked out power so cable must have went with it. Of course, I'm at work now and my network was up when I left 3 hours ago, 3 hours before the call, lol. Oh, Cablevision.

    I switched from Verizon to Optimum for exactly the same thing-Internet, landline and tv service- about a year and 1/2 ago.  My bill went from $259.00 with Verizon to $129.00 with Optimum.  With better service, better customer service on the phone, and faster internet speeds, both upload and download.  So who is the thief?  I am not pushing Optimum, and it was a pain to switch, which they are counting on, but I would do it again in a heartbeat to save $125.00 month for better everything, whatever the company name.

    Don't call to opt out of calls.   They only call if there is a power outage.   Who knows what number this nick is telling you to call.   If someone is calling the other person numerous times, it's probably someone spoofing the number and it's a scam.   Optimum wouldn't call multiple times.

    Yup. Power went out on Friday at 5:30pm.  Power was restored by 7:30pm same day.

    Cablevision called on Monday at around 10am.  Very helpful.  Not.

    I just got this (got it twice last week too).  The second time I got the call last week, they left a 41 second voicemail (same as today. I do not have Optimum myself, or at least I don't pay the bill, so they should not be calling me. It's most likely BS.

    It was indeed a call from Optimum responding to my earlier call about no service.  They wanted to make sure that I knew the service had been restored.  No worries here.

    What if you're not an Optimum/Cablevision customer, why then would you receive this call from 866-580-0532?  Received 2 messages, one to say; " car may have hit a pole, a pole may be down, or other reasons that your disruption will be restored by 2PM today, 5/16/17, that was at 11:01am, then again at 1:49 PM to state an apology that this will take longer & your service will be restored shortly that they're working as expediently as possible to rectify this problem.  I've never received calls from Optimum or any other provider other than the local electrical company due to down wires in the area or repair work.

    It's Optimum cable who called with an auto message to say there was an outage, then called me again later to say it was restored. If you have Optimum you can opt out of the auto calls on their website once you login. Do I need them to call? Uh no, just fix the problem!
