Thank you for telling theses idiots who don't realize that this is a forum to let others know who is harassing them. This site is NOT RUN BY THE PEOPLE WHO CALL YOU...  I can't understand why people can not comprehend this. So kudos!

I'm much less sure that people confuse 800Notes with their call sources, but a great many seem convinced that comments here will be seen and processed by a given company, like this is a direct messaging service. It's been postulated that mobile phone users exclusively commit this error, the type of user more prone to miss the context of any website they see on a tiny display.

To be fair, many sites which publish consumer complaints have the same problem. It's really sad when the FTC blogs pile up with people who can't stay on topic and/or make unreasonable demands to stop whatever behavior some company has inflicted.

No one here is calling you.

If this group is bothering you, report them.

    http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection

Also contact your local attorney general

If they continue to bother you,  and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them.  Tell 'em  no scammy debt collector is going to push you around.

You have to get tuff with these people because,  being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking).   the only thing they understand.

If you have a newer call blocker and they are using the same area code repeatedly, then block it by the area code! However, telling them to stop here is not going to help you.And they do not fall under the DNC laws. All the info you need is above in Big A's post and there is more in CWG40's and Residents posts also. I recommend that you read all their posts.

    Some Tips:
    *Keep all messages
*Take a picture of your Caller ID
*Keep any and all conversations recorded to your states recording laws, some require they be told, others do not. This can be transferred to a recording device.
*Keep a notebook handy for writing time, date, who you spoke with and what the conversation detailed.
*Check your SOL for your state as well.

Would you be kind enough to comment on the type of debt you had with this company?
I am trying to see if it may be similar to a debt that I have and does this company pick up those kind of debts?.

It's been suggested that some users are thumbing out their demands on mobile phones, acting upon the unsupported belief that 800Notes provides a text message service to whatever phone number a thread concerns. Therefore the "sender" does not need to specify a name or number, goes the theory. Some do spill personal information here, which worsens the problem.

Seven months later, the correct thread for your complaint stands empty. Would have been nice if you were more clear in identifying "them". You might also avoid making unreasonable demands. This is a complaint message board, not a magical call blocker and not an arm of law enforcement. No one but you could "please stop them from calling". Now of course, it's likely too late to help you. But others can learn not to repeat your errors.

FSA traffics often in credit card and medical debt. For some undeserved reason it's been part of a small group favored by AmEx, dating back prior to the Indian company buyout and name change.
