It's strange that the NSA can illegally track, catalog & record all US calls & most calls around the globe but no US government agency will enforce existing telecom laws to protect the consumer…  But they will waste tax dollars on such things as "DoNotCall.gov" in order to facilitate more government expansion…

Or you  can give them a phoney credit card no. I use the ones sent to me by all the card companies wanting me to sign up. change a couple of no's tho.

They keep calling me I use them one time  they suck  I don't want them to keep  calling me .Windows xp

Do not play their game. When they get on the line, tell them something like the deliver guy is at the door ,I will be right back. put the phone down quietly,then wait to see how long they will hold to speak to you. The goal is not to speak with them again but towaste as much of their time as you can. You may get to the point of looking forward to their calls.

Please be advised that the do not call registry only works for LEGITIMATE callers.  These others are scams that are looking for a way to get your credit card and bank account numbers so they may rob you blind.  Rachael from card member services and her 'sisters' and 'brothers' that continually call are SCAMMERS and only want to steal all your money.  That includes the ones who are calling to tell you about the cruise you won and the free groceries you won and the life saving pendant you won among others.  Once they have you convinced you are going to get something, all they need is your credit card number to pay for the shipping and handling, or where to 'debit' your winnings.  Do Not Call is USELESS for these scams!

Got the girl on the other line to tell me she worked for LI in Miami.  Only LI i could find is Long Island Callcenter Corp.

received call with message about lowering my interest rate, hit 1 to accept 2 to decline.
i hit 2 to decline and i got connected to a person.
I asked to be removed from their calling list and the guy replied
"shut up"
and hung up.

Thank you very much everyone, the info. is a big help.   Now I will call the DNC national registry and will follow the prompts to file a complaint.  Here is the number: 888-382-1222.  The telemarketers will be automatically blocked and they will stop calling.  Good luck

I just told the Idiot on the other end of the phone line, I was on my way to kick his A##, he had better leave town , I know where he is calling from and I can find him...

This sounds good, but you could accidentally hit on someone's real number and cause that unknown person much grief.  Just don't give them any information.

No, it's actually quite helpful. Gives an idea of how widespread the problem is, helps those who keep statistics, etc.

Called our house about 5pm. We did not answer and they did not leave a message. We are on state and federal do not call lists.

Groan.  Another phone number for the fraudulent consumer credit services, but not Rachel this time.  Very quiet voice and hung up when answering machine was finished.  That was at 1045 am PDT.  It is interesting that people still do not understand the Do Not Call list has nothing to do with crooks.  They do not abide by government lists; it is a criminal problem, not a government one.  They use rotating numbers that are changed all the time which makes it very difficult to catch them.  And, if they are calling from overseas or Canada or Caribbean, very difficult to track them and catch them.  Theft is their priority for those mentally impaired or the elderly.  You answer the phone and rage they know you are a live number and sell it to other thieves looking to steal from you.  The calls only slow down if you ignore them and report to DNC so that maybe they can get a string on one/some of them someday.

Can block up to 100 numbers! I love getting these calls! Did a #77 to force them to unblock their numbers. As they call we add them to the list. It's tedious and time consuming which works to my benefit (unemployed), so I embrace their BS. I love to hear their reaction when we answer stating they have contacted NASA or the NSIA Control Room. Ha-ha-ha..!

Upon *67 & calling this number back, I got a similar recording telling me I can lower my interest  rate (I have no Cr. Card) & this is the last call.  Lets nail  em & repeatedly callback on payphones & notify FCC.
