- Lori HouseI got a telephone call from what appears to be a made up company "Direct Supply Center" of Orange, CA. They are trying to get an approval for an order from one of my employees that was never made. A toner cartridge for a printer when we don't even have that type of printer.
SCAM~SCAM~SCAM - Supplies| 2 repliesBeware of Direct Supply Center. They are what is known in the business as "Toner Pirates". They've been calling our customers and telling them that we are going out of business which is false. They don't give a company name. If you ask if they are from a specific company, they will say "yes", then send you toner. They offer toner by the case and at a cost of 5 times what it should cost.
Make sure your employees know how to handle these telemarketers. Tell them to not give any information about the machines you have and certainly, do not give them any credit card information - ClerksI just got a call from them, literally 10 minutes ago at the front desk of our office building.
"Hi. I'm Mike calling from your customer service... give me your 4-digit number on your copier, we made a mistake and we need to re-ship you some Toner cartriges that'll be there by Monday..."
"Umm, what company are you with?"
"Yes... Customer Service."
They then sent over a FAX, which some people in the office saw and immediately said, "ITS A CON!"
The only reason I'll take their call again is to let loose on them.- Caller: "Company Service", or Direct Supply Cent

- TNWe ordered some toner from this company in the past and all of a sudden we ended up on some auto ship program. They charged us $500 for each black toner cartridge and sent us a package of 4 toners. Then on top of that charged $270 in shipping. When I tried calling to tell them we didn't order these items I couldn't get a live person. The only time we got a live person was when they were calling to collect on the bill. Needless to say when I left them the second message stating that we are a nonprofit and cannot afford this so we would like to send it back, I haven't heard from them since. Then I found this information today. I guess Ill turn this over to the AG's office. Thanks for all the info!
- sallyWe received a similar call at our company. They said we had ordered 4 cartridges months ago, but only three shipped, the 4th was on backorder. The woman was calling to tell us that the cartridge prices were increasing from $619 to $699 but she would still ship our 4th cartridge at the old rate. She stated the name of our company rep that handles the usual ordering and had some of our copier info on file. She asked me to remain on the line while she sent over a fax to confirm the order and fax it back. When I spoke with our rep I learned this was a con and we don't order toner from Direct Supply Center. We sent the shipment back and I called the number on the invoice to tell them we would not be paying the $619 or the $80 shipping fee.

- ElizabethI work for a copier/mailing machine dealer in Oklahoma City. One of our clients has received an invoice and collections attempts on an outrageously overpriced case of toner from "Direct Supply Center." As the customer is a government entity, they cannot pay without a purchase order and cannot issue a PO with out proof of delivery. I'm not sure if we're going to be able to do anything for them about the hassle they've been getting from these people.
Suffice it to say, if you're a legit dealer/vendor, make sure your clients are aware of toner pirates!- Caller: Direct Supply Center
- RussI just got a call from Direct Supply Center. They straight up lied to me and said that we have a contract for ordering toner from them. Not only have we never ordered toner from them, we have all of our toner paid for through our service contract for the next four years. They have already called me three times today to tell me that they cannot guarantee their low price if I don't respond immediately. They want almost four times what we pay for toner for larger copiers!! These guys are CRIMINALS!

- Ryland BrooksWe've been getting a whole mess of calls from these guys recently. They keep attempting to send us toner before they raise the price. She said her name was Linda Gray and that she was working with our copier company and that we were meant to order our toner through her. All lies! Yikes! Luckily I spoke with our copier guys and they explained it to me in time.

- woodsprite52058We just got a call from Sheila telling us that they miss billed the last toner and that as a courtesy they will not increase the price of our toner for the next 30 days. (what they did not know is that our machine is under contract and that includes the toner). Anyway I asked what company she was calling from and she said Direct Supply Depot. I told her she knew what she was doing was fraud and she hang up on me.

- How can these guys get caught/sued?Tracy, Sheri, Shiela, Marie G; they most likely make them up. Please contact your REAL-LEGITIMATE Printer co. and give them this info = All I could get out of them from a fax they sent in an attempt at a signature was: Direct Supply Center, 8502 E. Chapman Ave. #402, Orange, CA 92869, Ph/Fax 866-595-6063,at the end it says "Your order will be shipped and billed by our service company: IDCSERVCO, 3962 Landmark Street
Culver City, California, 90232, PH 800-446-9835, FX 800-335-3962 (This is another or the same scam company). Then it nicely says in small print "Thank you for your order from direct supply center which is unaffilliated with any other supplier, manufacturer, authorized distributor or any seller, lessor or servicer of equipment. Prices may be unrelated to any price previously paid or otherwise available." What would be nice is a class action suit or an Intervention by a local Law Enforcement Agency. I hope no one buys any "Brooklyn Bridges" anytime soon. Good luck at stopping these "Toner Pirates"- Caller: direct supply center

- WilliamI received a call today from Linda Gray with Direct Supply advising me that our order would be shipped out next Monday because they are behind on their shipments. We have contracts on our 2 copy machines, but we have an older one around here that I didn't know much about. I told Linda that I would have to check to see if we even have the machine here and asked for her number, she advised me that she would call me back. I received the call back from Linda this afternoon, when I asked how much this toner cost I was told that the regular price is $575.00per carton but I am getting a deal because we will only be billed $395.00, I told that is awfully high for toner, she said not compared to the regular price. I asked for her number to call her back and the number she gave me is 866 595-6063, she advised me that they don't receive incoming calls that I would have to leave a message and she would call me back next week. I will be sending a fax today requesting a copy of the contract we supposedly signed. BEWARE of DIRECT SUPPLY AND LINDA GRAY!

- katie| 1 replyLinda Gray won't stop calling me!!! Our previous receptionist OKd an order a year ago by mistake and they've had our number ever since. In the beginning it was a foreign guy calling and when I'd tell him I was the only one authorized to buy toner and that we DID NOT want any, he'd hang up on me. Now Linda Gray is calling wanting to know when they can ship the remainder of our order. She starts out real nice until I begin to tell her that we're not interested...THEN HANGS UP ON ME! Ugghhh...I hate being hung up on and wish they'd stop calling us.

- Mandy replies to katieI just received a phone call from these guys about an hour and a half ago. Caller ID said unknown. I work for an attorney's office, so I must answer all calls. I said hello and the guy said, "Hi, my name is ? from ? and I need the four digit number on the front of your copier." When he said his name and company, he was quick and I couldn't catch it. I was rather confused b/c no one besides the people that we are contracted with should be calling me asking anything about our copier. So I proceeded to ask him his name and the company he was calling from. After I asked, he said, "You stupid b**ch, you didn't hear me. I said I need the d*mn 4 digits off the front of your copier. You are a dumb a** b**ch, aren't you? You are a stupid b**tch!" Then he hung up. I was so in shock, actually laughed that someone went to this extent to say all of this because I wouln't give him the numbers off of the copier. Like seriously, these people should get in some kind of trouble. Especially if they are going to call businesses and harass the employees. Idiots!
- SaraLinda Gray called our office identifying herself as a Ricoh representative. She claimed there was a "delay in our normal delivery schedule and just wanted to get approval prior to sending out next shipment since it would be late"... Our company gets toner from our IT department directly, so she completely fabricated the entire story.
She has spoken to 3 staff members in less than a week, continues to try to scam us. When confronted, she hands up.- Caller: Linda Gray

- BrianThey are in the business known as 'toner pirates" or "toner phoners". There seems to be little that they won't do to get you with their toner scam. False claims, force shipment, faked invoices etc...If you've fallen victim to the scam - there are a few sources to turn to:

- MissyJust received another call from "MIke" calling for my copier, Idiot! I've instructed ppl to pass me the phone when they call our business, because I know how sly they think they can be, anyway, I'm like, "Sure, you're calling from customer service, what's your #? and he says, "I'm a married man!" What a loser! I hung up on him and called our telephone service provide. The only thing we were successflu in doing is getting a code to block that caller once they call. I'd advice you do the same. You do have to wait for them to call and dial the code. It will block the last call to your line.
I HATE THEM!!!!!! They raise my blood pressure all the time! Well, Karma is alive and well Mike and the entire "Direct Supply Depot!"- Caller: Direct Supply Mike from Customer Service

- Katie WI think these people have changed their name or something because I keep getting calls from Direct Distribution saying the same things as other people have written here. They have my order and need to ship it out soon before the price increases. They sent me 2 ink cartridges for $169.00 each! Then she called again today and said she has the 4 remaining cartridges ready to ship to me. I told her I didn't order that and she pretty much told me "yes you did". She also said something about the bill being around $600.00 and I said I'm not paying for that. Then she said I have to! Well, I'm not and I'm going to send it back. I wish I caught her name but the phone number is 877-919-2160 on the last invoice I received, but when they called today it was from a private number. I wish they would just leave us alone!!

- Not that stupid replies to Supplies| 1 replyWhat a scam. Check out the email chain below (start from the bottom) They called us to say that we owed them money when I let them know we ordered nothing from them and owed them nothing and that their tactics were fraud, their "legal (not) department" left me a message saying respond to email address cservice.legal@gmail.com (yeah right, no legal firm uses gmail) So the response from the bottome is me, then their outlandish responses. NOTE THAT THEY NEVER SUPPLIED THE INFO REQUESTED! remember, start at the bottom.

Stephanie, I'm not sure what is going on with this.... If this woman is being serious or perhaps a little bit off.. Does she have the invoices from Imaging? She's acting like she doesn't know anything about this... Get her what she needs.. If there's a legal issue..... Let me know, Thanks FB

It appears that your company has unpaid invoices, which was why Stephanie was calling you. The only reason this came to me was the nature of your conversation.
