I received a text from 866 598 4342.
I called BOFA but used the # on the back of my ATM card .its a scheme to steal your identity . Only call numbers on back of your BOFA cards or on an official BOFA web page. Do not reply to them. They're thieves.

Just got the text message from this number stating they were from "Bank of America"  I don't have any accounts with them.  I knew it was a scam. I do get a check from someone using BofA payment services, so I wanted to check before I considered calling them.  Which I won't because it's a fake text trying to get people's social security number.  Seems that the authorities can track down who owns that phone number, considering  it's a toll-free #.   I'm going to figure out how to report it to Verizon, and hope everyone else does, too.  Glad to have this service online, so that we can warn others.

I got this same txt @ 12.19 PM PST.  I will see if there is some way to block the number or report it with Verizon.

I received a text- it read alert-4398@...(4595_Bank...and when I clicked on the text it read alert-4398@aras-dpi....400icwubii994._Call-right_now_at: (866)598-4342_Received_from_Bank_Of_America_Don
I called the number and there was an answering machine that answered the exact same way that the Bank Of America recording answers- they must have recorded the bank's machine- then a woman's voice came on the recording and said that my Bank Of America credit card had been subject to fraudulent use of suspicious activity and in order to help me I needed to enter my credit card number. I hung up and called the 800 number on my credit card and none of what they said was true. I then went to the bank because I was nearby. The customer service rep called the number and a recording said that the number was currently unavailable. Then we called again from my cell phone number and the Bank of America recording came on the line again and the rep heard the message.
THIS A FRAUDULENT SCAM- DO NOT GIVE YOUR INFORMATION TO THIS NUMBER- CALL YOUR BANK AND REPORT THIS NUMBER
