Caller claimed to be wanting to schedule a package delivery, giving me a confirmation number to reference.  Phone number was marked restricted, and the only way I obtained the number was via voice mail.

Well I can see you did not want to reveal your employer or their address, so that means everything you have posted is a lie.  By the way, there is no way your credit score would go from a 300 to a 780 by simply paying one bill, so you have been caught in another lie as well.

Same, left message about a delivery and needed to call back 866-603-3238, also from a Restricted number.  Bottomline, they had a wrong number.  The name and address they referenced was not me (and have no unpaid debts), but seems like the same technique used for others to get a call back.  Beware.
