So I get a call from a guy who says I owe a debt from a payday loan company who I have not heard of. He is extremely threatening. Telling me I am going to be served with criminal charges on Thursday if I don't pay them. He then proceeds to give me 5 different amounts that I supposedly owe and in the end tells me that if I pay $200 it will go away. I have had these calls before and they do have some information that sound pretty convincing. But as soon as you start pressing for details they start talking in circles. Anybody have any advice that worked to get them to go away?

I just got almost the same call, but I found it amusing, as I have heard these before.  A True Scam, that if you have EVER gone online for anything, and especially a payday loan, somehow, someway they have your info.  The person who called me was obviously from India or somewhere in that vicinity, because he had such a thick accent.  I laughed and hung up on him.  Now worries whatsoever.

I get calls from this number every couple of days.  I have been just ignoring them, due to the accents and that i am believing it to be a scam...just really wish that they would stop.

I have ben getting calls from this number as well and I told them to not call me again or I would press charges. This is a scam. I hope noone ever falls for it.

I received a call on Friday from a man with an India accent. Told him to go to hell and hung up. I receive a call today from a woman with the sam accent must be the wife because I hear kids crying in the background. She told me that I was being taken to court and I told her to kiss my --- and hung up.

What should I do to make this calls stop?

I got a call from a lady today stating a law suit would be filed & they needed my attorneys name.  I turned the tables & asked for their infor so my attorney could call them back. After she gave me her number & I asked for the address.  She told me they were in my state but as I push for an address, she hung up.  I am so tired of these people try to scam people who do not owe anything.  You can always tell these people are scamming you as they have an accent, tell you this is the last warning before they have someone come to your home or office.  And finally get mad when you ask question.  
Have fun with them and play with them.  I have gotten about 5 calls in the last few months & got each person the hang up on me when I ask too many law questions.  Little do they know I am a lawyer so I know lawsuit work

had the same experience as above - but at the end of the they always say, "wish you good luck"  I don't think any company would end a conversation with that phrase.  I can hardly understand them in the first place because or their accent.  They always have an .American name, such as Rachel, but the definitely are not American.  This must be the only job they can hold and I even wonder if these nitwits even know what they are doing is wrong - they are being led by some idiot boss and they don't know any better. ..................

I received a call from this number today tellng me that I owe for payday loans.  Yes, I have had Payday loans and they have ALL been paid.  After listening to the guy tell me how I was going to be arrested and all the other harrassing things he said to me, I politely told him that I have a daughter that has a career in debt collections and what he had done was against the law and the HE was the one who could get into trouble for making such phone call.  I also informed him that if he called agian, I would have the call traced and that he would hav the FBI knocking on HIS door.

I got calls from these people over a year ago, and they started calling again. The Indian man with the thick accent, named Leo Garner (HA!), stated that I owe over $1000 in payday loans and if I didn't pay him I would be taken to court and be sued for $6000. He also told me it would be pointless to fight them in court because "we always win". So I played along and he said he would do me a favor because "you sound sweet" and said I'd only pay $541.. But then said if I can pay a lump sum, it'd only be $400. THEN said if I can get a "Green Dot Card" and put $250 on it my account would be "free and clear". I work for the sheriff's office Goethe county I live in and every scam I've ever had people report have been involving these "Green Dot Cards". So I told him he could send all the information he had on my "account" to my lawyer and he got loud with me, so I talked over him and he hung up. He calle back again wanting to confirm my address so he could "send his officers" to my home to arrest me ( my husband is a law enforcement officer, needless to say that's not how it works). I told him if he needs any information about me to contact my lawyer and he said "oh I will".... Funny, he keeps hanging up on me when I give him my lawyers name.. Idiots. If you're super stressed out, yell at them, it's a great stress relief lol oh they said their business address is:
711 louisiana st suite 340 Houston tx 77002.. I Googled the address and it is law offices, but the one they claim to work for "White and Case law firm" isn't listed.. White and Case is actually a global banking firm in New York. The location is a group of law firms, but they cover everything from personal law, trademark/patents, real estate, and finance/security. THIS IS SUCH A SCAM!

i received phone calls friday 9/14 as did my employer the number i called was 866 725-8263. i left several nasty calls over the weekend with no reply--until today which i got a call back from a different number which
wa 866 595-6915.they stated that they were from White and Case Law Firm but the suite # i was given was 33002--as soon as i was irate with them they hung up--so i called back--told them i wanted info mailed to me --"thats not possible " was what the guy said-- so now this is a different phone number ans slightly varied address .. is there anything we can do ??

The same scenario is what i was told --I did not take a payday loan--and when I got very nasty on the phone and demanded information they hung up.The indian(hindu) or chinese whichever had given information to my boss- who was worried for me at first until another co worker found out about these calls..I told the [***] that since they called and have made threats to me and also gave info to a complete stranger --they are to send me written info or leave me alone .Obviously they have varying phone numbers to use and I get pissed off easily --The first guys name was John Mayer (friday) today i didnt catch the fraud name but i am positive JOHN MAYER is neither hindu or oriental. This is upsetting at first but now im angry--scarry to think there are people who are so vulnerable or easily intimidated that have given into this scam
I wonderhow many other suite numbers or phone numbers are being used
