Texted me to contact a bank that I'm not affiliated with (west bend savings bank).  It also stated my account was blocked....

Not even the correct number of the bank...

I received a text from #839-60 stating, "Your West Bend Savings Bank account has been blocked for security reason.Please call us at 866-603-6514." I don't even use WB Savings as my bank. Sounds like a scam to me judging by the incorrect grammar.

Exact same text was sent to me. This is insane this happened within such little time of each other. Text message was ignored.

Exact same message texted to me at 12:16 PM July 9, 2008.  Thought it must be one of those toll charge phone numbers that you call and they put you on hold and charge you $4.95 per minute while you are on hold.  Did not call them back.  Checked on Google and found this site.

Same text sent to me at 12:07 pm. 7/9/08.  I proceeded to call West Bend Savings, who said that any such messages are not affiliated with their bank, and it is a phishing scam.

Just got a call from the same number.  Checked here to see what the story was.  Sounds like a scam.

Received a text today from 839-60 saying "Call Tony at 1800 565 6197 today. Refer to #82191919."  I'm thinking this is a scam too.
