- LizForeign Lady said at first she's with the newspaper and she wanted to do a plaque for the article that showed in the paper. I got suspicious and asked if she was working for that newspaper and where was she from. She said Connecticut and makes plaques for people like me who have something to brag about. I got scared and told her no and don't want to say why, No and hung up. She hasn't called back again and hope she wont. I am worried about having things published in the paper now isn't that crazy?
- Caller: She Said Connecticut
- glennI looked this up because all kinds of people were calling my house, when I was out of town. How many companies do this plaque stuff for magazine articles. at least 3 called me. one guy left two messages a day, just like the guy's wife getting calls to me. I'm looking them all up, to see.
evidently this must be some big fight with all of the salespeople trying to call first. the notes here are same story as 800-548-3993 too- Caller: inthenews

- cliffordThis number and several others in reporting today, all were on my answering machine at home.
I have no caller ID info, but these people left a message with a return number, posted here.
I report numbers all the time, but these folk are really barazen.
I see that they are telemarketers, who don't obey the "Do Not Call" laws of Missouri. I'm on the national list too. My phone line has a recording on it from the phone company (which I pay for), and they still left messages more than once.
I'll report them when I get home from vacation.- Caller: great news

- JulieI received a call numerous times after being in the newspaper about my company... no messages.
- twisted replies to LRNI got a number of calls from these people and 3-4 others too.
I wouldn't let them rush me into a decision, so I could investigate. We are a small business and wanted to display the local newspaper article in our store.
The phone started ringing right away. One of these people who wanted me to --take his offer- was looking at it online, I guess. He was in Tampa Florida. One call was from China or something. I couldn't understand him. So many calls made my curious about a potential scam.
After talking to local frame shops, I found the same laminated service at a local trophy shop for about $35. The phone callers all wanted $150 to $199
What a rip off. Buyer be ware is really a rule I guess. - PattiThey called my place of business because we were featured in a local paper. I couldn't understand anything the woman was saying. I had to ask her over and over again to repeat what she was saying because the accent was so thick. I finally told her that we are not interested.
- SRQ replies to Deputy| 1 replyIt's not scam, it's just a plaque company wanting biz to nmake an article you had published into a plaque
- JimThey are calling me every hour because of inclusion in a list in a magazine.
- fed upIf you want to talk to me, there better be NO hesitation from when I answer until you come on the line!
- jdThis company TGN News called my office twice. Both times I told them I was not interested and they were EXTREMELY pushy.

We are on the donotcall list already.
- Community LeaderThese calls started after appearing in an article in the local paper. The caller is relentless and calls throughout the day. Because of this, I checked the number in Google and found that the caller is likely selling plaques about the article that just ran in the paper. I have received at numerous requests for this offer from other firms.
- JackThis number has called me now twice today, each time I picked up there was no one on the line.
