Called at 8:25 a.m. It was a voice recording saying to call back a number because they had important information to talk to you about.  I have only had my phone for less than a week.

they said that they had good news and i needed to call today.

called five times in 1 hr. I am not danny. had this phone number 2and a hafe years. dont call again.

November 24, 2007 - Called at 1:28 p.m. Caller ID number 609-948-0951. It was a voice recording advising me to call 866-616-3671 because they had important information to discuss with me. I called and a lady told me I had a Fingerhut account that was owed. She then asked for the last four digits of my social. I told her I would not give her that information. I've not had a Fingerhut account in over 15 years. It's definitely a fraud.

Carrie from 866.616.3671 ext. 11124 called and left three voice messages stating it was important. When I returned the call, I was asked for my name, spelling, phone number. I told a woman named Carrie that I did not feel comfortable giving out personal information. She began to get angry and hung up on me and said I will be receiving more annoying calls.

Last evening a female with a strong Asian accent called stating my name and finding it difficult to understand her, plus knowing it to be a telemarketer with the beginning pause, I hung up. Today a male called stating that he had a very important message for me and for me to call 866-616-3671. Soon thereafter, the same man with the same message. It was also a recording with the beginning pause. Not much time elapsed until this Asian female called again and left a message on our recorder as my Son advised me to make a recording which I did. She stated that it was a collection agency. We do not have any accounts that are delinquent. This is definitely a scam. We'll see where it goes as he intends to follow up on this matter.

This company is definitely Fingerhut. Recorded message to call 866-616-3671. Called BEFORE 9 am.

I do owe a bill. It's not a huge bill, but it's more than I can afford in a lump sum. When I created the bill, I could afford it, but sometimes life gets in the way. I have tried to make good on it for years. They fight me tooth and nail everytime I attempt to pay it. They want more than I can afford. The last time I talked to them, they accepted my terms and I gave them my bank account information. I was then transfered so they could "verify" my bank info. I was then pressured my an EXTREMELY RUDE AND VIOLENT WOMAN for more than I could afford. I told them that they were no longer authorized to take any money and hung up. I called back a few minutes later to make sure they cancelled the authorization. They had NOT! They were going to take my money and still pursue me! I spoke to the same two women, including the rude one. After a few minutes, I was told that the authorization was now cancelled. We'll see if they really did cancel or not.

They are crooks who try to strong arm people who both owe Fingerhut and do not owe Fingerhut! They are equal opportunity con artists! If they call you, do not deal with them! If you do owe a bill to Fingerhut, take it up directly with them! If you do not owe Fingerhut, call your State Attorney's office and find out how your local laws protect you!

I have been receiving messages from this # for weeks. A recording states that it's important to return this call to this #. When I did, not wanting to, I got an Asian speaking female that had an accent sooo strong that her speech was mostly jibberish. I could decipher a word here and there and heard the word Fingerhut. I heard Collection something. She asked for my SS#. You've got to be kidding....no way! I asked that she put someone else on the line whom I could understand. It didn't happen. I assured her that I owe no one and that she has the wrong party. These messages continue and yesterday I received two of the calls. I got on line and found that it is NARS a Collection Agency with Corporate Headquarters in St. Louis. My credit rating is impeccable and I am so tired of this intervention of privacy in our home.

These idiots attempt to disguise their number by entering random
numbers or letters, or one of their other phone numbers in the
"ID" area, as if people are too stupid to figure them out.  
They call several times a day, sometimes they show up on caller ID
several times in a 30 minute period. Too bad THEY weren't taken
out by Katrina, as tacky as that is to say...low lifes such as
these who do not have the common sense or humanity to rate an
intelligent self respecting job need to go back to wherever they
came from.  If you can't contribute intelligently to this country,

AS WELL and this "company" of excuses for human beings are a prime
example of what is wrong with America these days. You can't even
walk into a business and understand what the employees/owners/managers
are saying, and NOW you have these people who cant speak understandable
English harrassing and threatening at your home.  If I need to speak
with someone attempting to collect a debt, I would like to speak with
a person that I can understand.

We keep getting this call. It must be a scam. We don't owe any collections, nor have we ever paid any of our bills late.  There is no reason whatsoever for anyone to call us from this place. I've never heard of Fingerhut.
I work midnights, so this is annoying me to no end.

This number keeps calling on a daily basis and I believe it's harrassment since I don't owe anyone anything and would like the calls to stop now, please!  My wife and I live alone and are in our 80's and unless the reason they are calling is for either my wife Alda or myself, Kenneth, I need them to stop harrassing us now.  Thank you very much.

i'm receiving calls from this phone number, i have tried to contact them but i'snt possible. please help

this company is really a scam i had a bill with a company and i owen them about 40 dollars and i receive a call from this people telling me that he was going to send me to court if i did not pay him so i ask for his name and hes name was francisco i ask him for his last name and then he started to harras me telling me about my family that i should get a job so i ask for his manager or owner and he hung up and call me back telling me to go back to work and pay he said he was going to call my mother to help me pay my bill am 50 years old my mom is dead i told him and he started laughing at me so i try to look up for the website (no website) so i call the company for witch i have my card and they said that there was no problem with me i was on track on my payments so am trying to send them to court if anyone has any information please let me know so they wont bother us again.

Starts with an annoying message saying they have important matters to talk to you about. When I call back they seem to be "fishing" with names, the latest name is Yvette. When I tell them that there is no person of that name residing here, they simply try another name. BE SURE I don't give them my name only ask who they are looking for, when the lady can't figure a name out she gets upset and says that my number will be removed from a list. Well, appartently that doesn't happen because I still get calls. I will then ask what the organization is and why they are looking for these people, I get told only they are NARS. I have asked what that is and where they are located, only to get hung up on.  Hanging up on me is the wrong thing to do, that pissed me off, so I called them back, blocking my number first. Asked the lady what they are and got hung up on again. I repeated this about five times in one minute, only to get transfered to someone else the last time. I thought surely now I am making some progress! WRONG, I got another pissed off lady, like she knew I had been asking, click!, she hung up too.  Maybe the answer is to bug these people so they know what it is like, and will stop harassing people. I have contacted my District Attoney's office and am awaiting an investigators call back. Good luck!

Messages were left on multiple occasions. No name or what is this call regarding. They need this call returned to discuss important matter.

Even though I am on Do Not Call list this number has called everyday, sometimes more than once for over 6 months and leave a pre recorded message with no details. just this call back number.

Out of the blue today, I received a voicemail from a "Sharlene" from the incoming phone number 636-530-7985.  She left a message to return her call at 866-850-4419.  I returned the call and was verbally abused for a few minutes, words were exchanged and she hung up.  About 2 minutes later my phone rang again and she advised me that if I don't provide either my routing information or credit card information immediately, she would be forced to wreak havoc on my credit.  Some more expletives were exchanged and then I hung up.  She called back again and offered to be helpful (in a much nicer voice), but then began pressuring me to supply her with confidential and financial information.  I repeated over and over that I was not going to give her any information over the phone, but would look into the matter if she would send me, in writing, a detailed explanation of the financial matter.  She refused and noted that I had until Friday to make payment.  I said I would call her back by Friday and she said "good, now can I have your routing number?"  I again said no, but this time asked for a mailing address that I can send payment if I decided to do so.  She said their policy is to not use a mailing address...  As if I didn't think this sounded flaky at all...  I hung up again and she immediately called back...

To make a long story short, there was a misunderstanding with a membership that I had last year with Philly Sports Club.  I was able to work this out over the phone with PSC with no harm done.  They were really nice about it and apologized on behalf of NARZ.  Ironically, she advised me that she too would never give her information over the phone and said she didn't know why PSC uses this crummy company in the first place.  She also let me know that NARZ is in no way connected to any national credit reporting agency and that nothing would happen.  NARZ is basically a third-party scumbag company that helps creditors get their money back by muscling people up over the phone.  They're powerless.

One last note: I learned that "Sharlene" was actually a bully-rep from Jamaica.  Are you kidding me???  The have customer service centers in CORRUPT, third-world countries calling the US and asking for personal, confidential and financial information?  Yeah, I'm sure there's no identity theft operations going on down there - are you kidding me???

Tomorrow, I am filing a complaint with Pennsylvania's Attorney General as well as the US FTC.  NARZ has no idea how many Federal, State and Local laws they violated today in a mere 15 minutes.  I hope something happens to these thugs soon and they get the message, if not what they deserve.

Moral of the story - hang up the phone and never deal with NARZ.

I have been receiving calls from NARS (National Asset Recovery Services) for the past several days at my place of employment.  When they call, all I get is a recording saying that they have an important message and to return the call at 866-616-3671.  I returned the call and asked what their call was in reference to.  The rude asian lady is whom I spoke to, and she asked for the phone number I was calling from.  I told her and she said that they do not have my phone number in their database.  I then asked her why then do I continue to get daily calls from NARS.  She put me on hold several times and still could not tell me why they were calling my work phone number.  She then asked me for my name.  I told her my name, but then she asked for the last four digits of my SS#.  I told her that I was not giving her any more personal information, and that I do not have any outstanding accounts.  I asked if my name was on file with her company, and she said that their was a name that matched mine, but when she asked if the last four digits of my SS# were ****, I told her no.  She put me on hold again, and once again said that my number was not in their database.  I will wait and see if they call again.  If they do, I will be looking into filing harrassment charges on them.  This company obviously is trying to scam people out of their hard earned money and their personal information.  Whaterver you do...DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION!!!
