Person call my house 2 times looking for someone who is not at my number and I have not heard of this person they wanted, He said he was calling from Beronstine Shaw and Associates. He said His name was Mr. Clayton

I got a call from this man too saying he is a litigation officer and saying he is Mr. Jones .... is this a scam????

I think well I hope it is, I got a call today from Linda Savino saying she need to no my where a bouts  to no where to send me some papers and said I need to call by 3pm today, The message was left this morning but I am not calling back and I cant find anything on the internet about this so called company or its phone number.

I got a message from the same company. They are a law office. I ignored all calls from them and then I got summons to appear in court in regards to a law suit.

I recieved a call from Linda Sorvino today stating that they were going to file fraud charges on me. What worried me is that they kept saying according to state law but when I asked what state law she told me that it is what thier legal department said. They wanted my bank account info, I don't do that.

Where are they located? I am in South Carolina and when I metioned that I bank with BB&T which is huge in SC she had never heard of it.

They rate a a BIG FAT "F" on the Better Business Bureau site.

I previously worked for this company - This company is a debt collection agency. When you are called they are giving you a principle balance of what you owe. The thing is the amount they are giving you is most likely either doubled and sometimes even tripled.. And when they say this case is scheduled to be finalized and processed out to your residing county, Yeah thats wrong -- First off it is illegal to even say that. So keep your voicemails saved on the recording and sue the [***] out of them! They are a very illegal company. What they are doing is 100% illegal. I mean its not illegal to collect on a debt but the way they are talking to you is wrong. So if you dont pay this yes you will be in debt but you will not be sued for it.. The main manager of the company (which is Bronstein, Shaw and Associates) name is Joesph Marlette - Who goes by Mr. Joseph Stone. His personal cell phone number is 716-533-1569.. Why not call him and harrass the [***] out of him!!! GOOD LUCK!!!!!! SUE THE [***] OUT OF THIS COMPANY!!! The other company that is the owner of this company is ICS!!! GOOD LUCK AGAIN!!! <3

OMG they got me I got several messages about prosicution and warrent for my arrest and it was a for a unfinished pay day loan now I'm out of 1700 dollars sun of a [***] I usaully google numbers but this one sounded so legit they got me

I received the same call today from a Mr. Meyers who stated he was calling from Bronstein, Shaw and Assoc and that I needed to call him back ASAP at 888-701-0360 ext.475.  He left a message stating he was calling about check fraud and that they had filed a case/ charges against me in the county I live in. The funny thing is, I work for the county and there is no case against me. Now that I am reading all this, I really know it's a scam or scare tactic to get someone to pay a debt.  I plan to call them tomorrow to see what info I can get from them. I will also be requesting them to send me paperwork on whatever it is they are calling about.  So we'll see what happens.

What a bunch of sheitttt!!!!!!!!! They called from 1888-701-0360 and said I had  many charges that were going to get sent over to Dane county police. So I called the police they came to my home and I played the msg for them and the police told me it was a scam. Even if I owed money from years ago to a dirty pay day loans they could add up all the money they have scammed ppl for and it would pay off 10 times over the orig loan taken out they all need to be stopped. They should not try to scare ppl to say they are going to jail> I hAVE NEVER BEEN IN TROUBLE BEFORE AND DONE NOTHING WRONG...

Thanks for the info. That makes mee feel better. I also had a payday loan from '09 that was not paid off. Got a call this morning from a Chris Jones stating that if I don't pay they are going to serve me legal papers and will be arrested.

OMG!! thank u so much for the information. This company keeps calling my grandmother worrying her into tears because they are telling her there is a warrant for my arrest for check fraud. I'm gonna show my granny this post before she worries herself sick. Thank you and God bless you.

I got a call today from "Bronstein Shaw & Assoc. Law Firm" from I couldn't tell his name because it's like he pulled the phone away so I couldn't understand him and when he said the company he works for..LMAO!! He stated that legal actions are being taken and that I need to call back asap. First off being a collector of many years IT IS ILLEGAL to threaten a person with law suits and jail time...if that was the case if people "actually" got arrested for not paying some debt then America would be in jail considering we're a [***] tons of ducketts in debt! This "so called law firm" told me to call 877-863-5647 and left a bogus "case" number. I called back so I could tell this guy off, well the phone just keeps ringing and ringing. Word of advice any time you get a call from people like these google the company and if there's nada IT'S A SCAM! They say that if you pay the debt it'll show paid in full on your credit. Well first off once your debt couldn't be collected by the original company they close it out then sell your account to these 3rd party collection agencies. If you fall for the scam it is NOT reported on your credit. They keep the money themselves. Never ever give your account information to these people! I will be seeking legal action and think a major class action lawsuit needs to happen to shut places like these companies down! Regardless if it's 1st party collectors of 3rd party collectors they CANNOT THREATEN LAWSUITS! All collection agencies are suppose to comply with the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act) laws. DO NOT FALL FOR THESE SCAMS!

How do you sleep at night knowing you're causing emotional stress on people and their relatives. How would you like it if someone was doing that to you? People like you will see karma! How much additional pay do you get to go to these blogs and post [***] crap that you got summoned?! Get a real job! What's the qualification to work for that company...being a complete [***] [***]?! People don't fall for posts like "nicole's" if thats her real name! GET A LIFE "NICOLE"

it is illegal to threaten lawsuit if there is no intent and without a previous record lawsuits,but if there is intent it is not illegal

I paid this debt a year ago and i received a phone call saying i needed to pay it today. it was the same exact skit as a year ago--word for word.  Then they told me i had 2 accounts..i told them let me call check n go and she said hold on ill talk to my supervisor.  she got back on and i said if i owed them the first account why would they let me open the 2nd account. she said hold on again. she came back and stated that it was a accident and she apologized for calling---THEY WERE CAUGHT.  They make u believe that u need to call them or they are filing in the court that day.  b/s  they scare u into paying the account.. BE CAREFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  i CALLED CHECK N GO AND THEY BELIEVE THIS IS A SCAM TOO
