- JohnGot one from Microsoft at that number. They were confirming an event.
- MillerTimeI received a call from this number. Also from Microsoft confirming an event.
- Caller: Microsoft
- Mia| 2 repliesSomeone named "Betty" called and left a message. She said she was "calling on the behalf of Microsoft". Would like to invite me to an "exclusive office lunch" with a "briefing of Office 2010, Sharepoint 2010, and SQLServer 2008."
Based on the message, I don't think this is actually "Microsoft". It seems like a third party offering some kind of services related to Microsoft products. - MiaNow someone named "Jessica" just called me. Basically they are reading a script. It's obvious they have some kind of phone list they are working. Because the call from "Jessica" and "Betty" were the same script.
- MiaThey called again today. Let the phone ring a few times, before it could go to answer machine, then hung up.
- ConsultoneThis number is Microsoft calling to confirm an event. Nothing sinister at all.

- Caller: Microsoft
- Call type: Telemarketer
- TomCaller identified herself as Alexandra.
Stated she was calling to tell me about an upcoming MS technology roadmap show at their local office.
Demonstrations of Office 365, Link 2010, Azure, somethig about "cloud" computing and some other stuff.- Caller: Microsoft
- RachelleAlso got this message- very misleading as I have no interest in a telemarketer call.
- Caller: "Microsoft"
- Call type: Telemarketer
- DJust received one too stating she was from Microsoft - not just on their behalf. Polite but very insistent to get someone to come to the event. I stated I wasn't interested but if there were others in the office that might be and asked to have some information sent to the office. At that instant, her tone was one of awkwardness and she immediately tried to get off the phone.
Definitely not Microsoft. - BitBoss| 1 replyCaller [Shawn (female) on behalf of Microsoft - code for: a third party] left a voicemail message regarding a complimentary webcast about Microsoft's upcoming licensing changes.
I never return calls of this type unless the company is explicitly named.- Caller: on behalf of Microsoft
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Sonata replies to BitBossI worked for Microsoft for many years. I don't recall them ever doing cold calls to drive attendance to events. They rely on their web site or blogs rather than calling.
- RoleyMicrosoft rep confirming I am attending an event soon
- Caller: Microsoft
- MikeDefinitely Microsoft.. I had registered for an event, and they wanted to confirm.
- Caller: Microsoft
- Call type: Event reminder

- DaveJust like all the other posts, but I want to add that they said they were calling on *behalf* of Microsoft, definitely not MS themselves. I've been to one of these events before, a lot of vendors and such trying to get you to buy their products and services. Not interested as someone who doesn't have purchasing decision powers, but I did win a free Xbox 360 when I went.
- Caller: someone on *behalf* of Microsoft
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Tess TicklesIt was Jesus.. ranting about how he's back from the dead and pissed off.
- BubbishLeslie calling on "behalf of Microsoft"; asked for the VP of Sales by name. Sent her to VM. Caller ID shows Microsoft.
